Full Size Van ???

After our stay in WDW, we need to get to Ft. Lauderdale to go on a non-Disney cruise. We are two families totaling eight people, so a mini-van is too small. I would prefer to use an on-site rental company, but cannot find one that has the full size van. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. I just need the van for that one day as we are taking town cars from ORL to WDW & will be using Disney transportation during our stay.

Can any of you help me? Thanks!

The Alamo web site doesn't even give me a mini-van for the WDW location. I guess I will have to call in. Or maybe I am planning too far in advance.

They show a mini van for the Dolphin and Disney car care.
The full size van is available at the airport.

Gail is right, if you really need a full size van you may have to go the airport to pick it up. That is considered a specialty vehicle to the rental companies and they tend to only carry those in locations that see a lot of traffic. You can call the companies you are considering to be sure though. National rents 8 passenger Minivans like the Astro and Montana, but they may not have enough luggage space if you are filling it up.

I'm in the same situation...

In March, we're coming down in 2 families totaling 9. To be safe than sorry, I've been looking for a 12 seat passengar van. The only rental companies I found (at Indy) with 12 seaters are Thrifty and Budget. However, neither shows the van available online, so I'll probably have to special order the rental.

Too bad the rental companies did offer full-size luxury vans as I rather ride in comfort than to ride in a passengar van.

I was able to book on-line with Budget from MCO to FLL. $191.55 for the one day.

SCCaguioa - Be carefull when you get your quote. My quote with Budget was for a free 150 miles, & then 24 cents/mile. (I almost missed that "small print". Now since I am just going to Ft. Lauderdale & dropping it off there, it's not so bad, but a round trip from Indiana....that would be a whopper of a charge!!

Although this rate is MUCH cheaper than flying or towncar, etc., I will keep looking around for a better deal.

That is weird, it shows up for me when I plug in MCO as the pickup point. I don't put in any codes, however.

Just for fun ( and to prove to myself I was not whacky) I put in a one day rental, picking it up at Orlando airport and dropping it at FT Lauderdale.
