If it is any consolation...that is really in the normal price range these days. However, being a "private" school you may get pretty good aid. If you go to Pixar's website, they have a section for students/recent grads and one of the ?'s is on what colleges do they hire from or suggest attending. I checked into ALL of them ( mostly CA and NY area) and anything under 80K would be a bargain! DD has agreed to look into a Graphics BA degree...so she is not only limited to Animation, and also so that she does have the traditional Gen Ed classes in her curriculum so that she can at least get a job to put food on the table if not hired for Animation right away. It is crazy how the cost of school is so high, yet the entry level positions pay about $20. DD figured out the math on that one PDQ! I think DMAC is also VERY highly rated, in Boca Raton...it is a 3 year program tho, year round, but possibly not quite as aggressive as Full Sail's. Pretty decent job placement, instructors are form co's like Sega, Sony etc. Also Ringling in Tampa..but again, pretty expensive, but I think more of a campus/traditional stting. Also Miami University of Int'l Art and Design...just afew others to look into.
Also SCAD in Savannah Ga...their President used to work for WDW...Very competitive program there.

ETA: As I understand it for Full Sail, atudents must first aquire an AA degree thru Full Sail first to the tune of $40,0000 and then can go ahead into their BA degree...at an additional $64,000. I am REALLY hoping that I am misunderstanding the info, but on the back of the application that DD rec'd, it specifically staes this. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!
