I know this has been addressed several times on the boards before, but before I rush out and buy one I wanted to see if anyone has tried successfully to use a full air bed, NOT twin, in the value resorts. We have already used a twin and know it fits. We have a 16 yo and 13 yo who do not wish to share a bed, therefore are going to bring the air bed, but would like to bring a full. Thanks!

I haven't tried it, but I think that would be a tight fit even if you moved the table elsewhere.

It can fit. But I hope none of you needs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Or one of you doesn't want to go outside before everyone else gets up.

In other words, it's going to be a big PITA.

I can't imagine bringing an air matress on vacation - let alone trying to fit it in a value resort. We are getting cramped now that the kids are getting older in the value resorts, but I can't imagine stepping over an air mattress. We have two kids one boy and one girl and she sleeps with me and he slips with DH when we are on vacation. Would something like this not work?

I have no idea where you would place a full size bed in a value resort room.

Here is the layout of a value room:

I was barely able to fit a twin sized airbed for DD8 at Pop and I had to move the table and the chairs against the window to do so. A full size mattress may 'barely' fit but it will be real pain and it will block the space between the double beds. You'd have to 'step over' it in the middle of the night. After using it you could just lean it up against the wall in the morning.

Thanks for all of the responses. Many people on the boards have brought air mattresses on their trips, they pack well into a suitcase, I just thought this year we would try a double but it looks like I will stick with the single. Thanks!

On our last trip we brought our two nephews along with our 4 kids. We had adjoining rooms and DH and I wanted alone time at night;) so we brought along the mattress to give us our own space. We moved the table and chairs (I think we put it against the wall) and it fit fine in that space.

Good luck!
