Hi I am going to WDW & a cruise in 50days. I just saw an ad for the Fuji z233Wp. I am looking for a not over 175 Water Proof camera. I am a point & shoot type girl. DH has a great camera-I know nothing about it except I don't want to take a bigger camera & WP would be good for sporting events in the rain after this trip.

Thank for your help

I'm not trying to be a smart *** here but what do you need help with? There is no question in your post. Are you sold on the Fuji and just want confirmation its an ok camera? Do you want to find a cheaper price? Do you want us to find others for you?

Also, if you aren't sure if its the best for you please add some expectations you have for a camera.

Ok sorry,it was before coffee. I would like a smaller camera one I could pop in my purse or inside coat pocket. Water Proof sounds like a nice feature for the Cruise & WDW. I want something that produces nice pictures. I was just wondering if Fuji has a nice product.

this camera would be used for everyday quick shots & my kids sporting events. And for my up coming trip.

Not sure if you've found this in your search but it sounds like exactly what you are looking for. I'll spoil the ending for you...the Canon comes out with the highest recommendation of the group.

Actually..they revised the results of the test a few weeks later by adding two new cameras to the test that had missed the run originally...and in the end, the Panasonic tied the Canon for 1st. Just FYI!

But I'd presume both of those are out of the OP's range - the Canon is way too large to be pocketable, and both that and the Panasonic are way over her price range.

Very few if any waterproof cameras are going to be precisely as good as non-waterproof ones in dry shooting conditions...but of course, add water to the mix, and even the worst waterproof camera is far better than any non-waterproof one!

Fuji makes fine products, and are considered one of the 7 major manufacturers of compact cameras that would be considered pretty closely ranked by most folks. The model you mentioned is one of the smallest waterproof cameras, and though not quite as good as one of their non-waterproof cameras, should prove capable of solid vacation snapshots and fun shooting, plus some underwater and wet shooting too.

Agreed. The review should be read from a perspective of "Does this matter to me?" and "Is it worth the cost increase to a different model?". Most people wouldn't notice any of these complaints in normal use.

I bought the Fuji Z33. I didn't have high expectations but I live close enough to the Jersey shore that I wanted something that could go in the water and using on water rides at WDW was a plus. It takes nice pictures, They are not the caliber of an advanced P & S or DSLR but for the purpose I bought it I am very happy.

thanks All. That link gives some great info. that chart is something DH will want to look at. I just kinda saw the ad for the Fuji & got a little bug to maybe pick up a WP. I look around this Photography Board here & you guys all take some amazing photos.
