Fujifilm Finepix S5700

I am thinking of a new camera before my trip and need to get it withing next few days if I am going to .

I currently have Olympus FE-170 which is ok but I find shutter speed slow, tkaes ages to acually get the pic and subject usually ,moved or blurred.
I have narrowed it down to two camera and was wondering if anyone else had experience of these cameras?

Fujifilm Finepix S5700
Kodak Z710

both are 10x optical zoom and both 7 mp

I currently have quite a few xD cards from previous camera so fuji camera has advantage of not neededing to buy any more.

any advice would be appreicated

I have had a lot of luck with the Fuji fine-pix. I had one for about 7 years and it worked great. So then that finally broke so we got a new Fuji fine-pix which works great. We also got the waterproof case for it too. But I've never had a Kodak Digital camera before though.

I got that exact camera based on recommendations on this board and let me tell you it's a million times better that my last camera. I still need a lot of work to get proficient with it, but just point and shoot is so much better.

I bought the same model a couple of weeks ago, I am still playing with it but it seems to be okay although it does seem to suffer with purple fringing which so far I have managed to get rid of with paint shop pro.
