I missed the live DisUnplugged show today and wish I didn't, because I would have commented this

For those interested in the FuelRod, you can purchase it from fuel-rod.com for $20 ($10 cheaper than Disney) and the FuelRod kiosks will swap out those FuelRods.

With shipping, it comes out to $25, but it's a nice little way to save some cash.

I read earlier that the FuelRods have been very popular in the parks and they are expanding the number of kiosks. Good to know you can buy one ahead of time and use the swap feature.

You can also use their site to see if there's a location near you, and buy it for $20 there. Lots of airports and malls seem to have them.

I know that BWI has them, Fuel Rod Facebook page has a better search result for locations. I will add that it's hard to get a definitive answer from Fuel Rod on the actual capacity of the battery. I looked on amazon at chargers that have a similar shape and apparent physical size, and it looks like 2600 - 3200 mah is a fair presumption. For approximately $22 I purchased the Anker Astro 6700mAh. A much better option for those of us that plan ahead. Though this is a great option if you find yourself in a bind without power.

Also, keep in mind that you don't get the full capacity. From what i've read, you don't have all the charging capacity that the unit specifies. So if a Fuel Rod is 2600-3200 mah, you won't get that.

For $24.99, I just purchased an Aukey 20,000 mah. Its good enough to charge several devices several times before it needs a recharge. I also want to use it more than just Disney, so 20,000 mah works better for me.

However, I agree with figment74 that a Fuel Rod is good if you find yourself with an almost dead phone and no way to recharge it.

I just got this, https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Ultra-...F8&qid=1474658531&sr=8-2&keywords=Anker+Astro and wanted to share my experience with it. it arrived with a healthy charge, and I promptly drained it. I then charged the now depleted power bank which took about 2 hours to fully charge the device. Once the Bank was charged, I connected my Samsung S5 (2800 MAH) that was at 2% and charged it to full. in about 1.5 hours. leaving 50% of bank for my next charge. @ $21 this is a very good bargain. It may not charge the Phone as quickly as the native charger, it does however get the job done. I know that I'll be very glad to have this as an option.
