I'm planning a trip in Sept 08, and I was wondering if anyone knows whether in the past during the Free Dining promotion if Ft. Wilderness campground was included in that.

Also is it really worth it to bring the camper and camp, or would we be better off staying at a value resort? It will be DH, DD(4) and DD(1).

Thanks for any help you might have.

I could be wrong, but I think the Free Dining promotion has always required a stay at at least one of the Value resorts or more expensive resorts. Getting a campground spot would be less expensive than a Value, so probably wouldn't be included in the promotion.

As to whether you want to camp, that is up to you. Personally, I wouldn't. It just seems like an awful lot of work to me.

However, FW does offer the cabins, which cost as much as a Deluxe resort, but sleep more than most Deluxes. I'd think they'd qualify for Free Dining, if it's offered.

Finally, don't count on Free Dining being around next year. This is the 3rd year they've done it, but the amount of time it's offered seems to be decreasing on a yearly basis. I don't consider it a permanent thing, and am not counting on it being around at all next year. It could be around, you never know, but I would make room in the budget to pay for your dining, whether you use the DP or not. That way, if it is offered for free, then you have that much extra money to use elsewhere.

I'm not planning on free dining. But since we're planning to go in September anyways, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll take the deal if I can!

Thanks for all your help.
