I was wondering if anyone had any info on the Haunted Hayride at Fort Wilderness.

Thanks.
Donna

Hi there - I spoke with the gentleman who runs this and he has a direct phone # 407-824-2734. The Halloween Hayrides are first come first serve and they leave from Pioneer Hall between 7pm and 9:30 pm (tentatively). I would give him a call - he's your best resource. We're gonna try to do this too! Have fun! :D

Anyone know anything else about this? I've never heard about it. Is it only on halloween? Is it just for kids? Thanks in advance for any info you have on it.

I just called on it and it is offered on Oct 17, 18, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 and Nov 1 Cost is $10/A $4/C 2 under under free.

It is actually called "Halloween Hayride" my mistake. :)

It is at Ft Wilderness and leaves from Pioneer Hall every 20 minutes between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm and is a first come first serve basis.

Sounds like fun!

Has anyone ever done this? We're looking for some feedback on this event, but have never actually spoken to someone who's done it.

From what I understand - you start showing up (for the evening you've picked) to ride the Hayride and they will fill the carriage/wagon up to capacity. If it's full you wait for the next ride later that evening. It sounded like the gentleman running the hayride may have two wagons going this year. I would call and speak with him directly, though.

I got a load of information on this just today! We've never done this but it sounds really fun.

The hayride is called Legends of Sleepy Hollow this year.I was told it's NOT too scarey though.

The dates are Oct 17,18,24,25,29,30,31 and Nov 1st!

Tickets are $8...10yrs. to Adult...$4 for 3 to 9 years old...under 3 free.

Tickets are ONLY sold on days of the ride with sales starting at 4p.m. at Ft Wilderness.

You purchase your ticket and wait in line in front of Pioneer Hall.

It runs every 20 minutes dusk until 10pm.

The ride is subject to weather.

Each wagon holds 25 to 30 guests.

The Legends of Sleepy Hollow will be running while we're there mid Oct. so I'm hoping to have a first hand report on this!
