I went 6 pages in and really didn't see anything about the Ft Wilderness cabins. I was wondering if anyone here had stayed in them? We have a reservation now for the Wilderness Lodge but Grandma is coming with us and won't be able to be in the room with us (2 adults, DS3, DS5). Originally she was going to stay offsite and just drive in for the 3 days she will be there but then I saw the cabins and was wondering how they were. There aren't many reviews on allearsnet.com. I know the WL is gorgeous but are the campgrounds nice? I tried to price the WL villas but they aren't available when we will be there.

Since we will be there for free dining would it be better to get 2 rooms in a moderate or value?

I thought this was all set and then someone goes and messes me up :confused3

Thanks for your help...

Try reading the Camping Board. There's talk about the cabins over there all the time. I've stayed there myself but it was a few years back. We thought they were great! But you'll find lots of current info on that Board.

We stayed there in 02 and loved 'em. We had different towel animals everyday. :jumping1: You would need a car travel time is way long without one. If not cooking I would do two connecting values.

we stayed in the cabins in Nov. 2002. We had 6 of us, so it was our best option. I liked the cabins. They were very nice and well kept, and had a full kitchen, which we only used the fridge and microwave. It was nice being able to have cold drinks there. The campground is very big, and there is an internal bus to take you to the buses that go to the parks. Or you can take a boat to the MK, but you take a bus to get to the boat. We had a car and just drove most places...it was easier, but the little bit we used the busses, they were fairly quick and easy to use. The campground has a petting zoo (free), and a campfire program with movies (free except for the s'mores, which you can bring your own if you want to). The kids liked it, and my DH won't stay in a value resort, so this was the cheapest option for us. I did have a code rate, which they are not currently offering. Oh, and the restaurant there, Trails End buffet, is SUPER!!! and really cheap for Disney. The fried chicken there is the BEST! and it is about $10.00 pp and all you can eat. :jumping1:
