Can you park your car at your cabin? My boys really want to stay here next year but I would rather use my car than a golf cart.

You park your car next to your cabin. There is an internal resort bus that will take you to the Settlement, where you take a boat to the Magic Kingdom or the Outpost where you can take the bus to the other parks. It will also take you to the large resort swimming pool.

You can also drive your car and park for free at the parks.

If you are going to MK, take the boat! If you are going to the other parks, I would likely drive, but its personal preference.

People rent golf carts because they don't want to wait for the bus to get around inside the resort.

The pp gave great advise, but I want to point out specifically that basically you cannot use your car to get around FW. It is set up to park at your cabin/campsite and use other modes of transportation around FW. There is like a 10-15 minute parking limit at Meadows if you need to grab something quick from there, but that is it.

What all is included in the cabins, do the beds have sheets and blankets, are there pots and pans, is there a TV or is one required to bring their own. How about costs, how much will a cabin cost per day for 5 and is there mousekeeping per day.

A cabin at Fort Wilderness is not like staying in a national park. It's actually a small mobile home with logs on the outside to look like a cabin.

So, it's fully featured, just like a hotel room or one bedroom villa. The housekeeping comes in every day, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. The housekeeper will load and run the dishwasher every day.

Your car can be parked right outside your cabin but it can only be used to get you to and from your cabin to outside Fort Wilderness. You cannot park your car at the bus depots so you would have to drive each day to your park(s) of choice.

Personally, I found the bus service to be fine. We never rented a golf cart and I think the expense is prohibitive since it's easy enough with one transfer to get around to the parks.

The Cabins are considered a moderate resort so you get everything you would at one of those places. Yes, there are pots and pans and enough dishwear and silverware for five people. The Cabins are designed to sleep six - two in a double bed in the bedroom, two in the bunk beds in that same bedroom and two on a Murphy bed in the living room. We found the sofa was also large enough for even an adult to sleep on. Everything is provided and you get daily housekeeping. If you leave even one glass in the sink, it will be put in the dishwasher and be cleaned when you get back.

Just a couple things that are different from this post that we experienced - there is enough dishes, glasses etc for six people and the sofa must have been changed out for something smaller because ours was a love seat - just enough for two adults, one adult/two kids - that size. An adult would have to scrunch their legs up really tight to fit on it.

Yes, that is true - it's for six people - I just had five on my mind from the post I quoted .

And I'm only five foot tall and most of my family is height challenged so the couch would have been fine for us.
