Fry's Electronics SUCKS!

Hello All!
Many of you guys have probably heard of Fry's Electronics. I purchased one of their company built computers and it totally fried out on me...conveniently one month after the warranty. I just wanted to state that their service department is ARROGANT and CONDESCENDING! I will go to the store tomorrow and negotiate with the service manager there. As for now, I CALL FOR A BOYCOTT ON ALL FRY'S ELECTRONICS PURCHASES!!!!! As you all know, the United States consumer industry is based on SERVICE. If you get bad service, the corporation pays for it. So Please, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM FRY'S! Thank You.

I've actually gave in to Alienware and purchased an Area 51 machine. Yes Yes, it is a rip-off. but as Maxim Magazine states: It is the McLaren F1 of PC's. I don't regret the purchase at all. The components are state of the art and the service is EXCELLENT!

I feel for you. We in Northern California know the horror called "FRYS". Most of my friends and myself only go in to sight see, when we want to buy, we go anywhere else.

Oh I may buy a package of software, a music CD or even a latte, but never anything too complex for their own people, ie a doorknob.

I wish you luck and pixie dust, but I am not going to hold my breath.

P.s. I know its different in Texas but here in California the "Door Nazis" have no right to stop you, so we walk past with a smile.

Not sure I'm familiar with Fry's at all, but great choice with your Alienware!!!! They have some sweet machines out there last time I looked!!! Good luck with the store though!!

Hello all!
I went into Fry's today and spoke to the service manager and he is willing to reassemble my computer and upgrade all free of charge with a sincere apology. That has somewhat restored faith into the company but I will prolly not shop there unless it's for parts or whatever is cheap. FYI: Those consumer surveys work! And a little piece of advice: mention that you will be posting on all of the message boards about the company. That scares the bejeezus out of them. Anyways, THANK YOU ALL for your support. Everything turned out better than I had expected!
