We loved flying Jetblue, from Long Beach to MCO via Austin..same plane, short touch and go. I took the JB AMEX card for points towards same and even used it for a significant purchase to make up enough for another trip. Fast forward to our Feb 2011 trip...route didn't exist. So, had to sit on my points and book another airline b/c I am not going to try to fly into a North East Coast airport in the dead of winter, I don't like to fly any longer than necessary and the chance of weather delays is just too much to deal with [which we would have run into, as it turns out, had we booked on JetBlue]
So, after our trip, the LGB/AUS/MCO route is reinstated! OK, I have another trip planned for Dec 2011...I'm just use my points then..Schedule gets extended to buy the tickets and NO LGB/AUS/MCO!!
This is really starting to tick me off. I can't find anything to suggest its a "seasonal" route...or any other information about what in the world they are doing at JB. Anyway, thanks for the vent...if someone has a clue about how/why I'm running into this I'd love to have a lightbulb turned on.
