Frozen show: What's your opinion? Trying to decide whether to see it

I've begun planning our next DL trip. My kids were fans of the Frozen movie when it came out and we watched it religiously for a good year or 2 afterwards. They've kind of outgrown Frozen a bit...well, ODD (age 10) has. YDD still likes Elsa. We saw the Aladdin show and really enjoyed it. Our next visit to DL will be for 3, maybe 4 days, and I'm not sure if we should go see Frozen or not.

For those of you have gone to see it, what did you think?

We loved it! Definitely worth the time to go see.

My 16 year old daughter was way over the whole Frozen thing, but loved it so much she kept trying to fit in a second showing while we were there.

I love it and definitely think it is worth the time. The actors are amazing and the effects are worth it alone. It's really well done. Most will say it's not as good as Aladdin, but I think it's better. I only saw Aladdin once and I've already seen Frozen several times.

I love the Frozen movie but was a bit underwhelmed by the show. Aladdin was so much more fun. I saw Aladdin 3 times in one DL visit but once is enough for Frozen.

The stage set is amazing. And the actors/singers were fantastic.

But it felt a bit stilted with the bits that were cut out. And we had some technical difficulties that the actors handled professionally but did erode the 'bubble' of the show.

It felt like I would have just as much fun watching the movie so why waste valuable park time...

Aladdin on the other hand - every performance was different with improvised jokes tailored to current events.

If you're short on time I wouldn't bother. If you have heaps of time then sure go along and have fun.

Saw it yesterday. It was ok. We are going two more days but would not see it again. If you have multiple days in the park it is a good rest hour. If just a day or two watch the movie at home.

I loved Aladdin. I love musical theatre. Im a fan of Frozen. I couldn't wait for it to be over. It's too close a re-telling without anything noteworthy to set it apart. I work in tech and was interested in the technical aspects of the show. But that alone wasn't interesting enough.

I'd give it another shot, but I was in parks 18 other days after I saw it this year and I thought about going again but when push came to shove, when deciding what to do next, it was never even top 10 on my list.

I was sad when they ended Aladdin but we loved the Frozen show! It's definitely worth seeing at least once. It's so well done and the actors were amazing.

There are a couple of aspects of what I've read about the show which has me a bit hesitant to spend time to see it. I certainly enjoy musical theater, but maybe we'll go to the Frozen skit/show at the Fantasyland theater instead.

I liked it, but I would not go see it again.

It's fun, but it is just an abbreviated version of the movie.

I did like the dress switch, during let it go song. Still trying to figure out how that was done so smoothly.

They really are completely different experiences.

I love Frozen at the Hyperion and highly recommend the show.
I've seen the show 6 times, and will certainly see it every visit.
The large scale video projection effects are very innovative -- Although the video is secondary to the great music.

I'm a big fan of musical theater in generally, and Robert Lopez (Songwriter for: Avenue Q, Book of Mormon, Frozen) in particular.

Yeah, it's because the 2 shows are so different that I'd go to the Fantasyland one.

I'd be curious what the "couple aspects" are.

Dang it! You guys are probably right. No Frozen show at the Fantasyland theater. I liked the Rapunzel one we saw there a couple of years ago. It was really funny and witty...that's something I really liked about Aladdin (the genie part). I'm mostly just not willing to devote 2 hours of a 3 day visit to see ANY musical...especially if it's something that most folks say is more of a "1 and done" sort of thing. I'd rather see the Pixar parade instead or (if they are there during our visit) see the mariachi band play (because I really love mariachi music).

If the overwhelming reaction was "omg it's the best ever and I'd see it every trip," then I would make an effort to see it. But now I'm not so sure it's worth it

I loved Aladdin, so went into Frozen with a chip on my shoulder. And I walked out loving it!

The process to get in was a nightmare and I've talked to Disney about it, so hopefully that improves!

How long prior does one need to line up to get in to watch Frozen?
