Nothing has been said about that right now.So will WS begin opening at 9am once this new ride is ready?

Why do you have to be so negative? Exactly why are you here? I dislike it it when people are so down about a place that means so much to others. if you don't like WDW don't go-and if you troll around just to make snarky comments -you need to stop.I'll give you the architecture is detailed and generally accurate. Beyond that though it's an extremely shallow portrayal of the countries. Let's take the UK for example. What does one learn about the history or society of the UK in the World Showcase? Well you can buy some Doctor Who merchandise at an exorbitant price. Come to think of it, if it's the UK... where are Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in this representation?
And it's really not that hard to find people from other countries to talk to. You hardly need to go to Disney World for that.
I definitely don't find that to be trolling. Unfortunately that's his opinion. We may not agree with it but we will just have to accept it.Why do you have to be so negative? Exactly why are you here? I 100% agree with you. Some of the comments on here have definitely steered me away more and more (actually I have ignored more and more people - makes reading the boards a little better, but there is definitely a couple people on here that are worse than I see on other boards)Why do you have to be so negative? Clearly it is off because that's what I've been saying. Others have been disputing the notion that it is somehow a source of culture and education. I think you're arguing with entirely the wrong person.
However it is legitimate to hold it to that standard because it's the standard that Disney themselves claim for it unlike KFC.
I'm also from another country (partially in fairness) and I do find some cultural good in the WS. It's far from perfect but I'd rather see improvement over fantasy.
Have you ever been to a World's Fair? I have been to a few and talk about a rah-rah experience.
I was never arguing with anyone. I don't argue with Internet strangers about Disney World
I also don't think it's legitimate because Disney is an amusement park. I don't think they've ever set out to be anything more than a place to shop and experience the cuisine. In the last 10 years or so the drinking part became really important.
By definition you are in fact arguing right now. Call it debating if it makes you happier, but that's semantics.
I call it engaging in a discussion. But ok. Have a magical day!![]()

Oh please. The world is not binary. It's not a case of "love everything Disney" or "hate everything Disney". Life has nuance. I praise what I like and criticize what I do not like.
If you remotely cared you could find plenty of positive things I have said about Disney. You'll find instances where I have defended Disney's actions against the criticism of others. You could even find comments where I've noted that I really enjoy World Showcase. I just enjoy it for what it actually is. I am addressing a specific claim here, that it is somehow culturally educational. I do not believe it is.
However, if it bothers you there's a simple solution. If it's so painful to you that I don't see Disney as pure perfect candyfloss magic then put me on ignore and you'll never have to see my "negative" comments.

I will take your suggestion. After this reply I will ignore you. I don't usually respond to negativity-but I just don't like your previous post and I feel sorry for you. All the best to your family. Have a good day.
May 27th is rumored because that is the date that showed up to CMs on the HUB. They may have stuff on the 21st but I wouldn't garauntee anything.I just came here to get information on the Frozen ride. I've seen the latest news that May 27th might be the opening date. Is there any other information out there at this time? Our last day is May 21 so I was really hoping we could ride it by that time. I wonder if they will have any soft launch dates the week before it opens?
LOL. You sometimes run into those who can't stand to see anything negative posted. I certainly have but you just move on.Well that's college level class in passive aggression right there.
I'm hurt. Stung. Wounded. My heart has been ripped from me and lies bleeding on the ground. I shall probably have an epiphany shortly and emerge a new man who SPEAKS ONLY IN EXCITED CAPITALS WITH MANY EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!! AND SAYS THINGS LIKE YAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!! WITH EMOTICONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because negativity is bad mmmkay? And we must never be impinged on by opinions that don't exactly match our own. Hopefully no more precious snowflakes were injured in the writing of this post.
Okay I'm going to let it drop now.
They could have concentrated on Future World. WS has (had) the advantage of being popular for festivals and dining. That whole front area has two and a half rides and little else. Elsa could have taken over a huge pavilion. The Wonders of Frozen?Back to the topic, I guess that it really is a matter of taste. I know that WS isn't an accurate or very deep representation but I do love travel and this light travelogue was nice to have. I enjoy the colorful travel brochure style I guess.
I think that they will likely move away from that over time though. The change in Norway pretty much guarantees that in my opinion.
I think it's inevitable. But I also think it's been inevitable for a decade or more. The moment they saw an attendance bump from introducing Disney characters into Epcot the decision was made. The only reason it's taken this long to see a major effect is it's been this long since they actually built anything in WS. The truth is that while people on boards like this may dislike it the average traveler who goes to Disney just wants to see Princesses and other Disney stuff.
We all know this ride will be absurdly popular, well beyond its actual capacity which will just reinforce the belief further. I fully expect to see debates similar to 7DMT spring up where people complain this is only a B or C Ticket and the lines are ridiculous etc. etc. None of that will matter if attendance increases.
