Frozen Premium Package - to buy or not to buy?

Is it really worth $230 for a family of four? Granted, our daughter is a HUGE Frozen fan, really, so is our son (though he prefers Olaf and Sven, lol). Is the dessert party really worth it? Is the reserved seating and the snacks that morning worth it? Also, how badly will this mess up seeing Fantasmic? Will we be able to do both? Because the kids REALLY want to see Fantasmic, as well. We plan on taking an afternoon break that day, so will we be able to pick the time we want for the Sing a Long? What sort of snacks/desserts do you get?

We were thinking about doing the package but couldnt arrive until afternoon. We are just going to get a fastpass for the sing a long and stake out a good spot for the fireworks.

We did it last summer. We had a lot of fun. My kids don't really like frozen (don't mention Maelstrom to them unless you want an earful). This summer we are doing the Tomorrowland dessert party instead. I thought it was worth doing once, though.

I had bought the tickets for this for our last August trip and ending up canceling them and getting the money back. We did everything without it (sing-a-long, parade, fireworks). Now you can even get a FP for the singalong, so that is even better. Last year you had to get a return paper ticket. People enjoyed the dessert party too from what I read, but for us the price wasn't worth it especially since we don't drink. Anyway, like everything, it's individual!

In my opinion with the desert parties (frozen/wishes) you're mainly paying for the deserts. And I think the cost is ridiculous.

We go to Disney pretty often, so it doesn't even cross our minds to do any of the desert parties. Maybe if they were like $20 a person, then yea. Because everything it entails, you can essentially do for free aside from eating

We have not been, but I am in the same situation as you are. I actually bought tickets for the dessert party and ended up cancelling them yesterday. I just don't think the $230 for 4 of us is worth it for desserts. But that is just my opinion. I plan on FP the sing a long.

We have also not been to the party, but I will also say that we were able to do all that you mention just fine, even when taking an afternoon break as you plan. I'd save the money...or spend it somewhere else at Disney.

We paid for the Frozen package last year and I don't think that it is worth the money. You can do everything without paying for the package except for the desert party which was just ok. Just get a fast pass for the sing along and you can watch the parade and fireworks without paying the extra cost!

After reading this thread, I cancelled my reservation and decided to add narcoossee's. We can eta a nice dinner for the same amount of money and just fastpass the sing along. Thanks everyone.

We did it last year. I wouldn't do it again. The desserts were mediocre at best. I would have rather spent money out of pocket for a decent cupcake, but I was "saving" my calories for the dessert party. **sad trombone** Also, while the parade area is reserved, once the processional came by and the welcome happened on stage, everyone pretty stood up and much rushed to the front of the reserved area so we still ended up 4-5 rows back anyway. It was nice they had a marked off area for kids, and enforced everyone sitting in that area, but that alone wasn't worth the cost. Especially now that FP+ is available for the sing along (it wasn't at the time) I really just don't see the value in this package, especially with the price point this year, which is higher than we paid last summer.

Exactly what I was going to suggest.

That much money seems ridiculous for better viewing of (already free) events and some themed desserts ..

Save the money and just do a nice meal at one of the many resort restaurants (or a character meal (which give you food AND dessert for less))
Or do something really unique .. like see Cirque Du Soleil at DTD .. or take a Keys to the Kingdom Tour ..

I think it's overpriced but I did get the package. My daugher is a Frozen fanatic and loves Anna.
I'm surprising her on our trip with this, she is going to go crazy when I take her to check in.
It's just the two of us going, so it's not that much $. If I had to pay for 4, I don't think I would get it.
Besides....I've been known to have a cocktail or two, so I will enjoy the drinks and the desserts

We did the Wishes Dessert Party last year just to experience it. It was fun and I'm glad we did it. That being said, it certainly wasn't a great value and now that the price has been increased, there is no way we would consider it. For $150 we can get an awful lot of desserts/snacks, even at Disney prices.

We did it last year and I thought it was good. But we only had 2 adults and 2 children. Thus year I booked it but already canceled. I thought 250.00 was a bit much. I will say I think last year I only paid a bit over 200.00 this year my oldest is considered a adult.

We also canceled because we decided to upgrade the dining plan. The upgrade to a moderate at that point was only 150.00 more for the 2 full weeks.
