Frozen Ever After via 8:15am Akershus?

Will we be able to beat the rope drop mob to Frozen Ever After using an 8:15am PPO at Akershus?

Those who have experience with PPO Akershus, will this work? We'll be staying at the Yacht Club and entering via the International Gateway. We are planning to arrive around 7:30am, hoping to be allowed into the restaurant before 8:15. We would ask for the check early on, and it's okay that we won't meet all the princesses. We just want to have breakfast and ride Frozen.

Thoughts? Experiences with Akershus PPO? I've seen one poster describe their family's experience, but they had an 8:00 ressie, whereas we have 8:15. Will it be like at BOG, where it's first-come, first-enter, or will we have to wait for those with earlier ressies (but later arrivals) to go first?

I really question the value of rushing through a very expensive restaurant meal to get to frozen. Can't you just get a FP?
If it were only that easy to just get one. I've seen people who at 12 am 60 days out can't get a 7DMT or A&E.

They don't seat all the 8 AM people and push the 8:15 people to the side. They aren't waiting for your table to come open while someone finishes eating ahead of you. Show up early, be at the front of the early breakfast crowd, and I bet you will be seated quickly as soon as you arrive at the podium.

It's a ~$50pp meal!! I'd much rather just get there at rope drop and wait 15-25 minutes to ride if I couldn't get a FPP.

Just as an FYI, I'm going in August and made my FPP yesterday morning at 7am (start time for daily Fastpasses). FEA was available for both my Epcot days with many times after 12:30pm. Soarin' had good availability too, and 7DM was just ok availability.

We'll only be at Epcot for one day (summer trip & is supposed to be all about the water parks, but I'm a hopeless addict of the "dry" parks), and would rather FP Soarin' or Illuminations, which both my son and SO would enjoy more than Frozen. I'm the only Frozen fan in the household, so I don't want to "spend" our single Tier 1 Epcot FP on a ride only I am interested in. There is only one Frozen FP time left, anyway (which we have, but I want to change to something else). We're less than 30 days out & I had to rebook FPs due to date change after my SO decided to join us on the trip.

We've eaten at Akershus before (but not PPO), and at the end of the day, it is only breakfast. I wouldn't enjoy it any more by sitting twice as long at the table. We want to have a good meal, then move on to FEA. I'm not a huge fan of lingering at the table after meals in general, anyway.

Us, too. We are staying offsite, with 1 onsite day (and yes, we will really stay in the room - we're at the Yacht Club, not a campsite) so availability may be limited. Not to mention the fact that my son and his family may fly in for 3 days, so we don't have the luxury to book 2 or 3 days at Epcot. We're hoping to PPO FEA, then have an early am fp for Soarin before hopping to MK. We will still get breakfast, and 2 or 3 princesses in the bargain. We have eaten at Akershus before and it's not that complicated, plus we don't eat plate after plate; just 1 will do. People are spending more than that for 3 rides at MK plus breakfast without princesses, I might add. I can see 7DMT, but really, who wants multiple rides at Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh? I would just pray we'd get through PP without a breakdown. Last time we were at Epcot, we broke down 4 times on Figment, for over 30 minutes. We had the girls reading the letters off the eye chart, playing eye spy and finally whipped out our phones for some games. The CM kept passing through the room with, "we're working on it", "any time now" and "just a few minutes".

It might be because they have changed the time when FP+ selections happen 60 days out..it is no longer 12am EST, now it is 7am EST.
