Frozen Ever After LIVE reports!

Draining the water? Why in the world would they need to drain the water?
I can only think they would do that if something were wrong with the track itself? Or if they needed to remove an animatronic that they had to take out by going through the track space.?

Or perhaps they intend to make it a "walk-through" attraction to keep the line moving. :thumbsup2

I'd wait in line for that! Especially if we get to slide down the little hill at the end. (And it is really little, BTW, for those worried. It barely feels like a drop at all.)

We had FP for Saturday, I cancelled them. I have desire to be apart of the mess, I'll ride it after all the kinks are worked out and the madness does out a bit.

Sadly, management has decided to scrap the Avatar boat ride in order to compensate for the thousands of Mickey bars given out as their value exceeded the cost of the ride.

Well, maybe they can salvage it and save some money by building the Avatar boats out of the discarded Mickey bar sticks.

Dear Disney, you have exactly 12 days to get your stuff together.

I now feel I made a gross miscalculation in getting FEA FPs only for my last day. I picked Soarin' for the first day, but then we decided to do HS for day 2. I suppose I should have booked FEA for day 2 and day 3, and then if the ride was open and operating on Day 2, I could change my Day 3 FPs to HS. You would think I would have learned by now with how notoriously unreliable they are with new ride opens. The had almost two years to put new scenery in a ride and change a queue, and they still couldn't manage it. Yet Universal sent me an email yesterday that they will have a new waterpark open next year. At least we're going back for Labor Day, so I have hope of riding it then if next week is a bust. Of course, ROL probably won't even be running by Labor Day, so that will free up time in my schedule for FEA. I feel bad for anyone there now who won't be back for a long time.

Water was drained at 11:25AM according to Orlando United on Twitter. Ride was back up at 12:56PM for FP only. Guys from touring plans are currently in the line for FP. Standby is still closed.

Does anyone know if TP is reporting 'Offline' what that means? Is there a way to see the WDW wait times on MyDisneyExperience when not in the parks? Can't seem to figure out how. Wondering what they're saying?

Thanks so much! How do you find this updated info? I'm going by the TP app and it only says 'offline.'

Hello Disers --- please share any pictures, reports, crowd scenarios, reviews on the next exciting opening of yet another Disney ride. I am a big Frozen fan. BTW, does anyone know of a live stream vloger via Facebook for Tuesday's opening that can be shared with me/us on disboards. I know someone will upload a youtube video of it by the end of the opening day.
Thanks so much for starting this thread, @SeeDisney! It was chosen as our featured thread on today's DIS Daily Fix and makes a great resource for families on their way to WDW!

It's actually kind of amazing that they can drain and fill the whole thing that quickly. I'd have thought that would take many hours.

This is especially true once the boat starts to go backwards. Up to that point, Frozen seems like a decent upgrade. But after the boat starts to go backwards, there is almost nothing left to FEA, whereas Maelstrom still had some excellent scenes. I wonder what became of the polar bear. I'd love to put that in my house!

I don't know. I think there's a little more to Frozen, especially since they added the scene at the beginning. With Maelstrom, you basically only had the Polar Bear and the oil derrick after the waterfall, two good set pieces, but there's really not much time left in the ride once you start forward again. I do still see some empty space that could have been better utilized on this upgrade.

I still think there was nothing wrong with Maelstrom that a 21st-century technological upgrade couldn't fix. Also, as popular as Frozen is, it should've had it's own building in Fantasyland and not shoehorned onto an existing track that limits what Imagineers could've done with the story.
