Frozen DVC Exclusive Show

I saw this in the May 2019 Member Insider email. There is a DVC exclusive performance of Frozen on Broadway on sale. Does this happen often? Does it usually sell out? Is there anything special that they do or sell to commemorate the event? I’m fairly new to DVC, but this perk is very interesting to me!

I don't remember there being an exclusive show. Discounts, yes, but I don't remember an exclusive show, no. But this maybe because of the member cruise departing from NY.

We bought the discounted tickets. Yes, we are going on the Member Cruise. I do not think it’s an exclusive show.

One time, when the MC was also out of NYC, I think Aladdin was the show featured in the ABD. We are not in the ABD group this time.

The webpage doesn't say exclusive, but the email certainly does. It may just be worded improperly.

"For the first time in forever, save on tickets to experience Disney's Frozen on Broadway at an exclusive show just for Members and their special guests! "

Well, actually, the email says "exlusive"

It’s listed on the Ticketmaster page as an exclusive performance as well:

On the dvc page it doesn’t say exclusive, but they did mention the member cruise:

I could be wrong, but I think it is meant to be exclusive because they don’t even have that evening listed on the show schedule. I was just curious, it seems like a big chance they’d take to put on an entire performance for dvc members and their guests. I guess with the member cruise they’d figure a good amount of people would do it as an add on to the trip. I was just wondering if this was something that happens often.

I found this website that someone posted on their experience at a DVC performance of Aladdin during the DVC 25th anniversary. I guess they don’t do this very often, but it sounds like a great experience!

I think that was the day the DVC MC to Nova Scott landed.

I went to the DVC exclusive Aladdin performance. That was the only time, prior to Frozen, that there was a DVC exclusive showing in my memory. It sold out pretty quickly. When I called to book, soon after it went on sale, we were only able to get high balcony seats, but it was definitely worth it.

I could definitely see it selling out quickly! It sounds like a unique and exciting opportunity!

We went to the DVC Aladdin show and it was awesome. It was sold as a DVC exclusive event, all the playbills had DVC on them and there was a Replica Autographed Showbill cover given away. The head of DVC was there to introduce the show and the best part, the cast made a few DVC and Disney off-script jokes during the show.

I remember the Genie after he was released from the lamp and making the joke about lack of space in the lamp, ad-libbed something like "Man..I need a vacation. Anyone have a good tip on a timeshare?"

I would say this is another exclusive DVC event. It gives an exact date (Oct 4) and says tickets are only avail through DVC and not on ticketmaster or box office.

also, " Tickets for this special Member performance," so i would say it will be very similar to the Aladdin one.
