Frostbite and a Broken foot ~ A long overdue Christmas Trip Report!

Hello! My name is Katie and I love Disney World! Since 2008 I have gone to Disney at least once a year, and in 08 I went three times! However after my 2010 trip, I made the grueling decision to not go to Disney in 2011.....I KNOW RIGHT! WHAT was I thinking....well the last time was fun but had some mishaps.....

But moving on, let's start with the cast of Characters!

There is me! At the time I was 28.....some how I managed to turn 29 at one point this year.

I am the first Disney addict of the trip.

Next up is Jenna

Jenna had been to Disney World once before as a kid, but only for a day. She went again that same year, but again only for a day. So she had never REALLY done Disney the RIGHT way.....at least the right way according to us Disney Addicts!

Finally there is the one we went to visit. My best friend Brianne!

At the time of this trip, Brianne was working for Disney. She had done the Disney College program, and when she finished it she went back down to work there full time.

The benefit of having a BFF who is a cast member is she gets discounts! So we got 50% off our hotel, and discounted park tickets, and a discounted meal plan! So we decided that we just HAD to go to Disney. The deal was too good to pass up! So I called up Jenna and asked if she wanted to go to Disney World! Of course she said yes! So we......well I.....went into planning mode.

First up.....where in the World are we gonna stay?

Day 1 - OMG we are In Disney World! ~ Part I

Jenna got to my house the night before we left. I was at my 10 year High School Reunion when she got to my house. We woke up at 4 am and loaded our bags into the car! We got the the Airport at about 5 am and had a VERY long wait for our 630 am flight. Normally the wait is not this painful, but for whatever reason TF Green Airport doesn't have a Dunkin Donuts! Are you kidding!? No AM Coffee! No Donuts!

It didn't stop Jenna from being Wicked Excited we were on our way!

We landed at MCO around 1030/11 am and headed straight for the Magical Express.

Now back to Jenna being a Disney Rookie.....I had told her NOTHING about this trip. She knew we were going, and the dates, and our destination was Disney World, but that was it. So when we got to the Magic Express she was pumped to see the Disney Busses!

For whatever reason, I don't have pictures of us ON the bus, but I do have the back of the chair......

In no time we were rolling up under the gates to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Next thing we knew we were pulling up to our Hotel! The Boardwalk Inn!

We checked in, but our room was not ready yet. So we went exploring a little. Jenna had to sit in the chair

We saw the Beautiful carosel in the lobby

And of course said hello to a friendly duck!

After we were done exploring we hopped on the Friendship Boats and were off to our very first park!

Jenna and I had just finished touring the hotel, and hopped onto the Friendship Boats and were off! The day was cloudy, but on the boat ride over the sun started to come out! Soon we were pulling up at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

DHS was all decorated for Christmas! The tree out front was amazing!

We entered the turnstile and just had to get a picture in front of the dancing Christmas Minnies!

We were eventually meeting up with Brianne who was working at Epcot. So Jenna and I were off to Rockin Rollercoaster! The line wasn't too long, and we were on and off the ride in 30 minutes! I don't think I have ever had such a short line for Rockin Rollercoarster! After the ride we did a little shopping. Jenna was obsessed with this giant Rice Crispies treat!

And I was obesessed with this Santa cookie tray! I think I looked at it 20 times and walked away each time.

Finally it was time for our late lunch/early Dinner. We were meeting Brianne at the Sci Fi Cafe!

We checked in and got our pager, then had a mini photo shoot! Boredom and digital cameras are a dangerous combination!

Finally it was our turn and we got to ride in the front seat for dinner!

And of COURSE we needed to have a photo shoot here too!

Brianne and I ordered the milkshakes and burgers, and we split a couple appetizers. Jenna and I got the deluxe dining plan because we had a couple signature meals later in the week.

After dinner we were off to the Great Movie Ride!

This is one of me and Brianne's favorite rides. Our other favorite is Tower of Terror, but we just could NOT get Jenna on that ride! .....or could we?

I tried taking some pictures, but they never come out good on this ride

The Wizard of Oz scene is my favorite. My grandfather used to walk to school with the middle lollipop kid waaaaay back in the day. I used to love that story. It was my very first claim to fame lol.

We did a few more rides and finished up our day with Mike and Sully!

I am very much afraid of the characters without faces, hence I am standing as far away from Mike as I can! lol

Brianne wasn't feeling very well, so we decided to head back to the hotel and chill for a bit....plus Jenna and I had not seen the room yet!

Up Next.....Boardwalk Inn room and Downtown Disney antics!

Thank you! This is my first trip report! It has clearly taken me a long time to get to it lol! Hopefully I will get it finished before my next trip in February!
