Just got back from a long weekend trip to UO and got a chance to ride the Velocicoaster for the first time. Short of spoiling the specifics of the ride, I'll just say it's amazing and one of the most unique roller coaster's I've ever ridden. We rode at night right before closing but they closed the front-row line before we could get there. I would like to ride the front row next time, probably during rope drop (no EE). My question is about how much longer should I expect to wait to ride the front row and is it worth it? Thanks!

We rode the front row many times over our trip and didn`t wait too much longer for the front, maybe an extra 5-10 minutes when the line was showing 35 - 45 minutes or so. And yes, it`s definitely worth it ::yes::

It`s also worth asking for the back row too.....the air time is extra stupendous!!!!

We didn't do first row on our June trip, because usually they weren't accepting people into the line, but the last time we asked for back row and they gave it to us no problem. HOLY COW. My butt barely touched the seat the entire ride. It was awesome and I highly recommend it!!

Same with us. We have been on Universal trips in September, October, and December.

Because of the way the ride is designed, with plenty of space between rows, the front row is not as essential as some other roller coasters. You have pretty good views from all rows.

And the back row, which seems to pull more G's thru many of the turns, is a bit more physically intense than the front row.

It was about 20 mins extra wait for me in October. Totally worth it! Do not do the single rider line....not only does it not save you time (I think I waited longer the first time I did single rider than if I had gone through the line), but you get what you get and you don't throw a fit with single rider.

Front row line length time has been very hit or miss for us throughout the past several months. Sometimes it’s a 5 minute wait while other times it’s 20+. We typically play it by ear once we view the length of the front row line.

If you get a chance though, it is worth it! The views straight-on are stunning and you get the feeling like you’re the only ones on the ride.

I always do the SR line because I am a SR. Actually got the front row once that way. Sometimes my waits have not been shorter than the regular line, but usually they are significantly shorter. Does anyone in the regular line throw a fit with what row they get? I have never seen that!

Waiting for front row was only an extra 5 min today at about 830 am. The longest wait was the vomit clean up from the back row. I asked… it seems vomit clean up in the back row is a common event on this ride. (We we’re debating front vs back row, but now have decided we will happily enjoy front row).

I got there early and only waited an extra 2 or 3 trains.
