From WL Bus or Boat?

For my trip to WDW in July. I'll be staying 3 nights at the WL. Someone from the strategies page suggested I post here!

From Wilderness Lodge going for an EMH morning at 8:00 at MK and Leaving about 7:15 to 7:30, what would be the fastest route to MK?

The bus route? The boat route? I read the boats direction to MK don't start till 30 min before park opening on any morning including EMH. The other boat to the Contemporary starts earlier.
Would I be best to take the bus? or take any boat I can get and walk to MK from contemporary if need be?

For transportation to the other parks, I'm considering using my rent a car and avoiding the buses all together with the exception of Epcot possibly. (maybe I'll drive there too). Is this a good idea? Or would driving be not a good idea when I can take buses to DHS and Epcot?

Ok, one last question I'll squeeze in here. The first day we arrive we'll be heading to DHS midafternoon on an EMH night. Do we need to check in first in order to get free parking at the park and something that would allow us to stay for the EMH? If not, what is the latest we can check in?

I also recommend using the second Disney Exit, rather than the Downtown Disney one - no matter where you're staying. The lights cause a lot of bumper to bumper traffic and you have to make a left onto Hotel Boulevard which is pretty annoying. If you take the second WDW exit, you go in the main entrance with the big sign.

You really should checkin as soon as you get to WDW...get it over and done with and then you can forget about it..on to having some fun.
As far as the bus vs boat issue....I would take the boat to CR and then walk over to MK. I never took the bus from WL to MK...usually just took the boat, either the direct to MK or to the CR.
As far as the other parks go...if you want to drive then go for it. I have no issue with the buses but many people prefer to be 'masters of their own destiny'..so driving works better for them.

Well even if this was supposed to go in another post.
That is still good news to me.
I should not take the:
"exit 67 toward Epcot/Downtown Disney"
and
Merge onto Epcot Center Dr
then?
but instead drive further down to

Take exit 65 for Osceola Pkwy W toward Animal Kingdom/Wide World of Sports?

Or is there another route I'm not seeing.

the first boat heading directly to MK will be on the dock by 7:30. Sometimes they are early. If you are on the dock at 7:15 you'll likely be on the first boat that arrives. Keep in mind the boat to CR only holds 39 average sized college kids(read: 32 fat americans) and can get quite rushed due to breakfast in the am. The WL-->MK route has a 120 passenger boat and the 39 passenger boat running on it. Chances are you'll be on the first set of boats.

Thanks that was an answer I was looking for. Yes, I'll try to be there at 7:20 to catch that boat then. (If I'm running late, I'll get the bus as it will probably come more often and I know the first boat should be there at 7:30!)

Will the boat leave prior to 7:30? or is 7:30 a time where it starts loading and it departs around 7:40?
