Hello: What is the best way to get from WDW to VB? DVC suggests the BeeLine to 95 rather than teh Florida Turnpike? Thoughts? Thanks

We took US192 (Irlo Bronson Hwy)to I-95 this past Saturday. You stay on I-95 from exit 180 to 156 (Sebastian) and then follow the DVC instructions. It was quick except for the first 2-3 miles on the West side of Kissimmee where there was construction. We hit it midday so I don't know if other times are better (or worse). It is definitely the shortest distance between WDW and VB. I learned about this on these boards and will take the same way back on Thursday when we head to BCV. I'm going to try to avoid the construction by using the turnpike between exits 242 and 249 and scoot into WDW on the Osceola Pkwy.
BeeLine takes you north and out of the way, the Turnpike takes you south and out of the way. If you are not in a hurry take the Turnpike and enjoy the ride up A1A from Vero Beach.

Taking Florida's Turnpike isn't a bad option, especially when you are leaving from WDW instead of MCO. The only "tricky" part is the SR-60 that takes you over to Vero. It's a highly traveled two lane road running through desolate ranchland with ditches on either side. Not bad on a nice day -- a little treacherous in a blinding rainstorm. You'll also have to check a map and/or "follow your nose" to get over to A1A and then drive up to the resort. Following this route, you'll discover the resort is not really in Vero but north of town along the barrier island. As you come into Vero, SR-60 is also where you'll find the large outlet center, the mall, and lots of other shopping.
