From WDW To DL With Love - January 06, 2011

We're on the other side(Port) for a change, 7094. We have been Starboard on our 5 cruises, including through the Canal last time, so we thought it would be a change and a different view. I fear though that we will always be going the wrong way down the corridors!!!!! Just look out for lost looking Old Geezers!!!

We are now going to rent a car and drive to WDW and drive to Port C we will stay at Kidani Village in a studio. Our rental car is $250. Have to wait a few more months for SW for the flights home.

My guess you will have to wait till at least June for our flights to be released. On March 23 we open through I think it was sometime in Oct.

And was looking at those Official Sailing Certificates. It seems WAY more economical to order in bulk?? Has anyone ordered these before? If so, what are your suggestions? Do we do a group order or order individually??

The book came today. I could not believe it. I only ordered it yesterday (Well I think it was yesterday). Its huge!! I did not realize how many pages it is. I cannot wait to start.

My book came today too. I ordered it the night before last night. It came very quick! Love Amazon!!! It is a huge book!! I was thumbing through it today. I can't wait to read it!!

My book is patiently waiting in the closet until Jan 2 to be packed. I had really wanted to fly to Orlando. But it would mean being at the airport before 5am. None of my friends will take me that earlier and the ohter flights are not non stop so it would take less time for us to drive. There is a late flight but then we will not get to KV until nearly 11pm a waste of points. We could stay at Pop and take a taxi over to KV that next am. If I get a rental car at Disney it is 80. Cruiseline Transport. I need to make up my mind by next week when I can book our stay at KV.

I never managed to get half way through the book. Too much hard work for me. I did skim read the interesting bits though. We also bought a book that had more pictures than story and that was excellent for those not into heavy reading. I will have a look to find it and post details.

We also had a former Panama Canal pilot onboard who held 'lectures', both for adults and families. He was excellent. He also gave live broadcasts on the Panama Canal day as we were going through the canal. It really added to everything and was very interesting.

Well I want to book Jambo only because value rooms are not at Kadani. My DW keeps saying that we should two a two bedroom. I am wondering why should we use 50 points when the two studios would only be 36? Personaly if the other studio is not all that close to our friends, why should it matter, not like we can't call/text them to meet in 5 min. We are not going to do laundry or cook. So what am I missing, and yes since we are a party of 5 two studios are fine.

If 55 counts as a Geezer count me in- those of us the same age as Disneyland should have a "birthday meet" sometime at DL when we're there! After all DL will be 55 also.

My DH and I got them for the 2008 WB PC cruise and have had them framed. We didn't get a group order in 2008 and I really don't remember them being that expensive. I think around $10 a piece and well worth it. I remember that I thought the web site was a little confusing about ordering then and still is.
