Good morning cruisers! :yay:

Welcome to your first day at sea... today the temperature will be a high of 66degrees and we currently have waves of 2-3 feet (it's amazing what searching the internet you will actually find!)

The shops are open for your convenience and the spa is running a sea day special (aren't they always running something?) - there will be a game of bingo sometime today and a wonderful show tonight...the drink of the day is some fruit thingy majiggy.... enjoy your day!

Thanks Pixie! I would love a fruit thingy majiggy!! :cool1:

aan1701: DH and I have tickets to Mary Poppins when it comes in May! I appreciate your mini-review; we are really looking forward to it!

For the first sea day, we will probably be so excited, we will scour the navigator for every possible activity. Maybe do a tasting if offered. We have done wine and cognac, but are interested in beer and taquilla. Definately end the day in the hot tub!
What is your favorite sea day activity?

Bingo byjingo
I hate bingo, my gran used to take us when we were wee and she was babysitting, we had to promise her not to tell our parents in return for treats:rolleyes: We had to sit quiet for hours at a time.

But it is fun and lively - we have music and cheers. But, definitely, don't try it - that will help increase my odds of winning (again).

Can you tell us more about the bingo games.... how often they are played, location, cost, possible winnings? I've been on the Wonder twice, but never got around to finding the games.....this PC cruise might be the perfect time to play!

I googled Disney cruise bingo and found this thread:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365446

I played in October 2008 on a 7-night Western Caribbean. My experience was that they played every sea day. We used both the electronic "cards" which held 24-36-or more cards.

Bottom line, I played most days, won a $437 or so jackpot (not the final $5K :sad2: - someone else got that). Came home + $40. So it effectively cost me nothing (with a take-home bonus). Beginner's luck? :confused3

I played with shoshie, goofprincess, and ChipperMerlin; every day we played one or more of us won.

Head in Rockin' Bar D. Definitely more fun with a crowd (hence the DISboards); families can play - but you must be 18 to claim the prize. The 5K card was played by a kid, but her grandma claimed the money.

Good morning cruisers....

This is your friendly weather reporter speaking from the bridge.. I mean..from my house..

Today's weather is 67 degrees with waves still at 2-3 feet... another beautiful day at sea! Tomorrow is Aruba!

Todays drink of the day is a triple fruit thinggy majiggy! Bingo will be played again today and todays sale is gold by the inch!

Another wonderful show tonight! The spa is running a spa sale on spa things...

Have a wonderful day!

Hello all! Just popping back in after a very busy Christmas/New Years season. We had wonderful vacation at Disney World. I'm so thankful we are lucky enough to go frequently and not feel rushed.
I've enjoyed getting caught up with everyone. It sounds like everybody had wonderful holidays and is healthy or getting that way.
As far as favorite at-sea activities, DD and I love B11, BB11. DH and I love relaxing by the adult pool or on our verandah.
I'm still planning on coordinating the international fish extender. I'v got an idea if those who want to participate will pm me. You don't have to be international to go in on this.
I plan on being on more regularly now.

Hey all - great seas today!!

Did you all see the DIS thread where people are getting Country Inns and Suites on Priceline for $62 total!!

So gonna try that in a year!:lmao:

Oh boy---BINGO! My husband got addicted to playing Bingo on our 5 night cruise---we even cut short our Palo's tea one day! He loves the electronic board---and the young/fun/silly Brits/Aussies? that run it:) Of course we find ouselves saying B 11 B B 11 and Nine Nine Nine (mine mine mine from the seagulls in Finding Nemo:) Alas, we never won---we sure spent a lot of money trying!

Just got done with laundry---packing for our trip to London is no fun---winter clothes/shoes/boots sure weigh a ton! Can't wait for December when I can pack our summer clothes for this cruise!

I am getting nervous about all of the snow in the UK---even though I prefer Glasgow and Scotland to London, I'm glad that we aren't going North! My husband's team Chelsea didn't play today----I sure hope they play next Saturday----we have tickets---that is mostly the reason we're going---this may be my first and last trip to the UK in January! My husband says it can't be worse than me draging him to Montreal in January (we used to follow the hockey team the Washington Capitals to wherever they played on my birthday) and when we visited Canada, it was -30!!!!!!!

Please keep your fingers crossed that BA doesn't cancel our flight to the UK---wouldn't mind getting stuck over there though;)

Just changed my avatar pic to reflect what I fully expect to be drinking at this moment in a year's time :thumbsup2 Does less than a year mean time to start getting into shape so I'm in prime physical condition to take on the cocktail list? :cool1: We're thinking we might fly a few days early before the cruise instead of the night before and stay at the World to build in some slack time, in case there is a repeat of all this bad weather and our flights are delayed. And if no bad weather, we get WDW time - can't lose either way!

...and for your suitcases to catch up with you. Anyone asks, that's the reason you are arriving early; not for fun, but to be careful. ;)

Haven't been on the boards in a while (and haven't cruised since July-Aug. 2008), but I'm back to inform you that myself and DW, Laura, will be on the PC Repo.

Our first-ever cruise was the Westbound repo on the Magic in May 2008 and I joined Disboards after that since we booked the Magic's 10th anniversary cruise and didn't know anyone else going on the cruise with us.

That will not be the case this time as we have a group of 13 which have been linked for dinner.

Can't wait!!!

Sounds like a great dinner table.

Since I missed the sail-away party on the May 2008 WBPC, I decided I had to do the whole trip over again! :lmao:
