Oh Tami,
What wonderful news! I hope your husband rests well tonight.
What wonderful news! I hope your husband rests well tonight.
Morning started out bad. The alarm didnt go off and we over slept 20 min. only 5 min late to hospital tho. Dr. wanted to start early. Told me it would be about 5 hrs. Dr came out to talk 3 1/2 hrs the surgery was done! He said DH has a very young body for his age. He is 65, but Dr was able to do a procedure normally reserved for 40 yr olds. Got to see him at 11:30 and he was still asleep with about 20 tubes and wires. Very scary looking. When he woke up he freaked about the endotrachial tube as he is very claustrophobic. Took some time to calm him down I felt so helpless. However, when I left him at 6 pm tonight, he was out of bed in a chair eating popsicles and jello. They keep telling me how amazing he is. They may let him out after 4 days instead of 5 or 6! Thank you everyone for your prayers and pixie dust. Miracles do still happen.

That is great news. so pleased he came through it so well. Wow, only in hospital for 4 days - amazing!!
Looking for some advice here...
We are talking about switching our RCL Baltic to the 10 night Med in May. There are pros and cons for both , right now the pro is the kids are free on the Med but it ultimately came out the same with RCL when we priced it although RCL is 12 nights compared to 10 night med.
Ive always wanted to see the Baltic capitols but yet the Med countries ive never seen before either......decisions decisions
We are not jumping ship on this one either, thats part of the worry because final is due on this one so close after we get back!
Any advice is welcome, especially from previous Med cruisers...Thanks for the help in advance![]()

Just an update, my Dad came home from the hospital today, much earlier than anyone thought possible on Saturday or even Sunday. Thanks for all the well wishes...
On a side note, watching the two open heart surgeries/ bypass that I saw in nursing school were some of the coolest things I have ever seen. it's amazing to realize what it is that is being done!
