DH and I will be in the area but will be going from the World to the Cape to get on the Magic for a cruise! Hope your party is great! Can't wait to hear about it.

We'll be in the area, too. . . ON the Disney Magic between back to back cruises!

Hey, everyone, Just wanted to post a quick hello from our London vacation! For some reason the Disboards won't load at our flat, but I could get on at Starbucks.

Did we miss the vote on the official logo? I was thinking that was going to happen while we were gone but I don't see anything about it.

Anyway, we're having a great time and I'll post some pix later.

Good evening fellow cruisers!
I am not sure where best to ask this question so I thought I'd start here first.

As some of you may know, our (huge) group will be celebrating Christmas/new year in New York (or somewhere in the NorthEast), and we'll be coming back to Orlando around the 4th Jan for the cruise. We didn't want to miss the boat and accomodation in NY seem to be more expensive!

We are not sure where the best place to stay is when we return. Options are near WDW, the Hyatt MCO or the likes, and last but not least stay near the port.

I don't know what/how much there is to do around the various areas and was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving us your thoughts/suggestions?

A few things to take into consideration:
*We will have some people leaving us as we fly in before the cruise and others flying in to join us for the cruise hence the airport thought.
* We will have done WDW theme parks and the Space Centre already
* Transport may be an issue as there will be 21 of us.
* Wouldn't mind shopping some more...

Lindababe, sorry to hear about what happened. Here's to a speedy recovery.

PS does anyone know if there are hotels in Orlando who offer luggage storage? Because we're travelling from overseas and will be in the states for 6 weeks, we'd prefer not to have to lug everything to NY.

We stayed at the Hyatt MCO before. It is very nice to be able to just walk thru the airport to your hotel. I think it is a pretty nice hotel too, and somehow once you are checked in you feel away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

Hi all, I'm still alive and updating things. Just had a bit of a reoccurance of an old eye injury that has kept me laid up after the weekend at Disney. I don't know where I'll be at on Saturday but it is extremely likely to be at the Ticket and Transportation Center somewhere.

I'm a bit behind on some of the images because I've been dealing with a minor eye injury (Thanks to my 2 year old, who knew they were so pointy) as well as a lot of work taking up my time (They are so demanding here, expecting me to actually do things instead of surf the net all day), but I am getting better and should have time this weekend to get things updated. And tomorrow I'll hopefully be up at Disney driving monorails (unless the eye goes completely wonky on me today)
