OK here's what I got. Cat 5c (old cat 6 port side) stateroom #6046 included is ground transfers, trip insurance, night before at the Hyatt for 2 adults: $7837.36. We will add our air package later because we may stay at DL for a few days after the cruise.

You need to know that this was the pricing from my IC request. They had held on room in my name and one in Steve's.

Good luck everyone!

Forgot to say this included a 10% discount for booking onboard last cruise but had to pay full $600 per person deposit. New bookers will pay $300 per person.

OMG! These prices are pretty steep. May have to try and talk travel companion into a non-verandah stateroom. I was hoping this cruise would come in less that the transAtlantic and it's airfare. Will see what I hear from my TA over the next day or so.

....worried....

.

Finally booked! Estimated 78 minute wait was actually 108 but the Disney rep was super nice as usually!

We are in cabin 2592.

We're booked to into 2 cat 4s. We're on the very short waitlist for a suite.

I hope everyone gets what they want - hoping that there is some pixie dust for us next week...DH says go for it!

Just went to the Castaway Club site and see my TA got cabin 7620 (secret Nav verandah) for me...but the fare isn't showing up yet. This is the same cabin I have for the WBTA, so I'll be able to do an exact price comparison for my sister-in-law (and see if I need to talk her down to an oceanview).

Also booked in 7620 for the 8/30 Alaska...no fare listed there yet!

.

That's wonderful. I'm a little concerned about the blue background though and how it would show up on shirts...

The background color can always be changed. I just put it in because at the time it looked a little bare without it.

Carol,

Can you repost the graphic? For some reason it didn't show for me.

Denise, I just looked and it shows up for me. Let me know if it comes through when you get back on.

Jackie, I figure that by the time we pay air we will spend about the same amount we paid for our Cat 6 on the 2008 WB. Considering you have to add in inflation (about 4 years worth from last booking) I didn't think this was too bad. It could be a little much for a lot of people in this economy, though. Hope you are able to make it.

I just checked RCI website and this cruise is pretty comparable (at least for adult prices). Disney is going to different ports which must have a higher port charge because DD is $839 on Disney but $699 on RCI. DD is under 3 so she is "suppose" to be free on DCL and just pay port charges, RCI charges same for all children.

15 Night Eastbound Panama Canal Cruise Balcony
Price Breakdown
Guest 1 Cruise Fare $2,202.00 USD
Guest 2 Cruise Fare $2,202.00 USD
Guest 3 Cruise Fare $699.00 USD
Taxes/Fees $868.44 USD

Package Total $5,971.44 USD

Well after being quoted a 13 min wait time right at 5 A.M. (That is what time I called as I am on the West Coast), the wait time was more like 90 min. We finally booked our 6 rooms. We are paying for an 11B 4844.36 no transfers for two adults. We have a solo traveler in an 11B for 3764.68. We have a couple in a 9C for 6044.36, we have a family (2adults 1Child age 4) in a 7A for 9250.63, and a couple in a 9C for 7344.36. Thank goodness for the three day holds. There is no way I could pay all those deposits. Anyway just a year and 3 months to go. Oh all the fares I posted have everything but transfers.

Woohoo !! We've just booked too

We had talked ourselves out of doing this cruise, then half an hour ago hubby suggested I phone up for a quote. We were only on hold for 5 minutes :) and within no time we we're booked in a Cat 5C

I'll get back to you with the breakdown when I pull my ressie up on-line

I'm so excited, I can't believe it :yay::yay:

Ok, we're in. My fax is dated 10:09 am 2 Adults cat 11A rm 7063 transfered from WBTA, booked on board. Total including transfers but not insurance $4333.

This is very nice. Could your DH adapt this to fit our Wonder cruise???

DH (Me) has not posted on the DIS in a very long time because of some very strong hatred for the way he was treated by members of the community. In general, I've developed very low expectations of the disboards as a group and a community. I will however, put that aside and at least hope the subset of people both going on and following this cruise can be a bit more mature going forward then those who chose to follow the first panama canal cruise.

Give me a few days, and I'll see what I can whip up.

Thought I'd post my breakdown as a reference point for everyone.

Adult one: $3,393.00
Adult two: 3, 393.00
Insurance: 338.00
Ground: 130.00
Precruise resort: 215.00 this is the night before at the Hyatt MCO
Taxes and Fees: 368.36

Total: $7,837.36

Remember this is a cat 05C (old cat 6) booked with 10% off.

Here's my stats:

2A, Cat 7 Secret Nav Vernadah (7620)
no transfers, no insurance, all fees
10% ob booking discount

$6398.36

($300 in obc's from DCL/TA)

This comes to $1600 per person, per week, a rate I've paid before, so not as frightening as expected, but no 'inexpensive' repositioning rate, for sure.

I've asked for a Cat 9 a/b quote also (and will skim our thread to see if anyone has posted one), in case my travel companion will want to trade in that verandah.

I think I responded on the other thread but it'sstarting to be a blur but here you go:

I called about an hour 1/2 ago for a client for a CAT 9B

2 A - ins/fees but no transfers $6,104.36

Hope this helps!
