Hey Penny, looks like we will be cruising again together. Cool. I am a Gold member and was not told anything about a OBC. Hence why I was going to try to reshop when we cruise in a couple of weeks do maybe I can get the 200 OBC.

Hey hey!! It does appear to be! Congrats on your booking! I will be reshopping, as well, hopping to work something out. Can't wait to meet everyone on this trip and I will see you in 3 weeks!!

we are booked for this cruise.......hopefully we will be able to go! we also booked an alaskan cruise for 8/16/11 and am hoping for a "dream" on 4/16/11

DH (Me) has not posted on the DIS in a very long time because of some very strong hatred for the way he was treated by members of the community. In general, I've developed very low expectations of the disboards as a group and a community. I will however, put that aside and at least hope the subset of people both going on and following this cruise can be a bit more mature going forward then those who chose to follow the first panama canal cruise.

Give me a few days, and I'll see what I can whip up.

Nice to see another May 2005 PC cruiser. We booked the 2005 PC very late so I was not a part of that thread until a month prior to sailing. I do recall a lot of turmoil on that thread but I don't know what it was all about. I hope to see you post often and we all have a great time planning for then next 15 months!! Oh, and let's all hope the "pin fiasco of 2005" is not repeated!!

What DH is talking about was what happened while we were on board. He got caught in some stupid drama over a very serious incident while we were on board. I think Jeff will come back, but not sure, he was angry for a very long time over what happened.

Don't give up. The May 2005 PC cruise was sold out originally too and we were able to book a balcony in 3-4 months before the cruise. The final payment is due 9/8/2010 so if you can't get anything before then, try calling at the end of August and beginning of Sept.

Also, many people (inlcuding myself) put their deposits on a Disney Visa with 6 months no interest. So, also try calling in 5-6 months when it comes time for people to actually pay the deposit from the CC..I'm sure there will be cancellations.

Ah, yes, the fish extenders. That is one of my favorite memories from the cruise. I loved looking in it everday to see what new little gifts we received. I still have most of them in my memory box. I'm hoping that's where the FE is too because I haven't seen it since we moved in May!

As soon as I get my home PC fixed (moitor problems), I'll post some of our PC pictures to start getting everyone even more excited. Our Disney PC is our favorite cruise of all, and we've been on 8 DCL and 14 others.

Ah, yes, the fish extenders. That is one of my favorite memories from the cruise. I loved looking in it everday to see what new little gifts we received. I still have most of them in my memory box. I'm hoping that's where the FE is too because I haven't seen it since we moved in May!

As soon as I get my home PC fixed (moitor problems), I'll post some of our PC pictures to start getting everyone even more excited. Our Disney PC is our favorite cruise of all, and we've been on 8 DCL and 14 others.

I can't even imagine what the air feels like in the terminal the day of sailing! I bet it is so electrically charged!!! I would love to hear experiences from other past PC cruisers!

No one knew what to expect in May of '05, so it was nuts and amazing. I'll never forget Sasha (the amazing Palo server) willingly going out onto deck 9 while going through the locks in full Palo uniform to sell drinks. I can't imagine how hot he was. Our cruise while sold out, was pretty empty and had very few kids. So much so they opened the kid's clubs to thr adults. We got to make Flubber. It was great. All the themed nights were great, I believe we were one of the first to set off fireworks from the ship. There were so many wine tastings, beer tastings, kitchen shows, it was easy to do what you wanted and still have quiet time. And still not do everything you wanted.

I can't wait to see photos! I have wanted to go on a DCL PC cruise since the first one but the timing was never right. Now I get to take my son and I am so excited!

I really want to hope for the best, but my friends wife who works as a reservations agent told me the cruise is sold out. Now that does not mean you won't be able to get a reservation, as people may not pay third deposits. I wish you all luck and I hope I got some bad info.

The cruise is not sold out atleast not as of this morning as I just got off of the phone with reservataions after pricing some rooms out for a client and both CAT that I wanted were available and multiple rooms in each at that. Some CATs might be sold out but I just priced out CAT 4, CAT 5 and CAT 9 and recieved prices so hang in there! The deposit is due tomorrow for those who booked yesterday and not everyone will stick.

Lots of pixie dust for those still waiting!

Thanks Des. We were told to call back tomorrow about our waitlist request for a suite, since deposits are due then. Hopefully everything will work out for everyone!

I thought maybe we were neighbors again but we are on deck 6 (5B) I didn't even think about checking if we could change which cabin..i was so happy to get one.. LOL

I'm still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming that we're going on this cruise. We made the decision to go so quickly. But I guess there's 15 months for it to sink in.
