From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 5

Sorry it didn't work out. I scrap, but I digi-scrap :surfweb: I hope to bring my scrap stuff with my laptop and spend some sea days scrapping.

:goodvibes It might work. :thumbsup2 Could you bring it and we can see if it will work? The seal is 1.75 inches diameter, ideally 1.5" seal would be best, but perhaps we can use your embossing tool. If it needs more, perhaps afterward we could 'draw' a border around it using some cardboard disc that I have.

Someone suggested 'drawing' around a pin shaped as a mickey head. That could be another option too.

Any other suggestions? Obviously we want to keep it simple as we have 130 certificates to emboss.

Wow, that sounds perfect...I'd be interested!

The embosser is really quite simple, I'll throw it in the box of "cruise stuff".

If I hadn't switched to digital I would have participated. But I have another suggestion. What about a Circle Journal after the cruise. I participated in one after a DVC Member cruise about 4 years ago and what I got back is just amazing. And both traditional and digi scrappers can participate if they want. Just a thought...

What is a circle journal?

Sounds like we have several digi scrappers going. Count me in. I have just purchased several disney related digital papers and elements. I would like to see what others have and where you got them. Maybe we could have a digi scrapper meet in the promenade lounge one day to exchange designer info for disney elements.

I'm not really sure how the whole digi scrapping thing works. How would you trade layouts? Or is it just sharing the different places to buy things that you like?

OMG! When did we get a part 5? Serves me right for being MIA for a few days. I can't believe the cruise starts 3 weeks from tonite! We have been booked for almost 18 months-hard to believe it is finally here. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hello night owls!
Five threads! We so rock!

We're heading to Vegas this weekend and then we get to come back and pack up for DCL.

Got my Visa Disney Dream Debit card -- so we are covered for dinner and breakfast precruise at WDW.

Three weeks... I can't believe it is so quick.
Happy packing to all. :wizard:

Jen, they are drop dead georgeous! Good for you!

I have to share something with all of you. Right before Garry passed away we bought a Christmas gift for our Disney Cruise friends and that was to be Garry's summer project to paint. Well that was the summer that never was, so Ryan just took it this past summer and said he knew his B would want him to do this for our friends for this Christmas....the Mickey Mouse door bell...hand painted by Ryan with complete instructions from his grandfather. We have two of them, but when I saw Ryan's finished product I just about lost it. I know Jan & Howie are going to be so thrilled. They are the only thing missing from this cruise, almost the only thing!

I can never tell you how much all of you have helped me. I can't wait to really meet you!

what I aspire to

reality

As we prepare for the holidays and our cruise I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before starting on the FE gifts, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates, and a half bottle of scotch.

You have no idea how (mumblegrfl) good I feel right now.

Pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of inner peace. val

What a great idea!

I think I'll start by finishing off caring about all the stuff that will be unfinished before I leave. :rolleyes1

Alan, I hope it was worth the wait!!!

The shoes came.....

:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

Yes, they are high, but the covered 1 inch platform makes all the difference. My Danskos and Sanitas are my comfort shoes, these are my knock my socks off shoes...

Oh my, those are gorgeous Jen!!!

That is lovely, well done Ryan on the painting.

Gorgeous shoes Jen I hope you feel really beautiful in them!

The doorbell is also a work of art- congratulations to your GS he did great work (so did his parents and grandparents turning him into such a great guy)

No cruise docs here yet- darn Christmas mail!

I will be sending a cookie recipe for the the exchange hopefully this weekend ( I picked up a sub job that will take the last 3 days of school this year so my baking time has moved to the weekend.)

I would also be intrested in some games. Never sure about DH but he's a big boy and can take care of himself for a few hours!

Between after school today and noon tomorrow we will refill our freezer with both a whole hog and beef. The kid then get to take meat home for part of their Christmas gift. First chickidee should arrive home from college today (hopefully DH Mike can get her car working otherwise he has an additional job to do over his Christmas Vacation!), DD#1 and SIL (and grand doggy) should arrive Sunday sometime, DD#2 will arrive on the 23rd. DS lives in town which means we probably won't see him much at all LOL.

This is the first year I remember wishing Christmas to hurry and be gone. LOL (I need some warm weather!)

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Has anyone staying near the port planned any type of precruise get together-dinner or just a meet and greet together. We would love meet with some of the disboarders. Let me know.

I think OTB & us are going to Fish Lips for dinner - want to go?

Time for the gym!

Hope you all have a GREAT day!

It was so worth the wait. Spectacular. A feast for the eyes. Jeff Bridges was incredable. Everyone see True Grit. Just kidding, I was talking about Tron of course.

Once again, the cruise site is updated. Once again Disney has told me they still don't have schedules for the boat so they can't book the Wine M&G yet.

We added *another* room.

In any case, here's the deal for all FE people. I'm going to get the new and improved list up today on the site, and in a printable format. Don't go too overboard with printing it out. Once we're onboard, I'd like to have everyone at some point before we get to Castaway Cay stop by the room and check off that they are *ACTUALLY* on board. Then, at Castaway Cay I'll work with Concierge to get some copies printed out and will leave them in my FE. Then you can take a copy, use it for your run and return it. I'll also have a copy of the entire master list on my door.

New, fish extender list with printer friendly goodness.

http://wonderpanama2011.com/fish.php

Again, don't feel a need to print this out, as I'll keep copies available on board once the list is fine tuned, but if you are one of those anal retentive people, go right ahead :)

It's sorted from low to high so you can just walk right along the port hallway, then once you get to the back of the boat, start from the bottom up for starboard (Its an incredibly insane exercise in programming to make it work so that it would just be a loop. I could do it, but it probably would take me a couple hours to write the custom sort.)

I am so glad you enjoyed the movie. I may just have to go before we cruise; however :laundy:is really calling my name loudly right now! Going to make some potato chip cookies today and we have Liz's Christmas party tonight. I want to get to Curves but have to wait for FedX to deliver big package for my SIL so that is my priority today.

Ok, I lied. It took me a little bit of thinking about the problem, but I solved it. For those of you that care about SQL, here's the mathematically beautiful solution for Deck 8.

(select stateroom-9000 AS sort_col1, stateroom from staterooms where fishextender='1' and stateroom like '8%' and stateroom < '8200') UNION (select 9000-stateroom AS sort_col1, stateroom from staterooms where fishextender='1' and stateroom like '8%' and stateroom >= '8200') order by sort_col1

So now, the Fish list is by deck and you can just walk down one side and then back up the other with the same list. Enjoy.

Enjoy! I have a pin for you.
Ryan & I will wait and see it on the cruise. I was disappointed that Narnia was not listed for the cruise so I guess I will see it before we leave. I was to see Tangled before too. If Liz does not need me to help with her Christmas party decorating I might go tomorrow.:santa:

Did I miss the list of what films are showing on the cruise? Where can I find it?

Robin, the album is great, I love what you did!

Jen, the shoes are absolutely gorgeous. I can hardly wait to see what they look like with your dress (or your shorts, or your swimsuit, or your jeans.....hahaha).

DH and I love games but he likes the ones that you can drink and visit and not have to think.

I am trying not to stress about the packing. When I went on the WBTA DH was out of town so I just sorted everything on the boat and stepped over it. Also he didn't go. This time I have him home (which I'm glad) and he is going (which I'm glad) so more bags and stuff.....

Yesterday I had to take my luggage for repair. I should have mentioned this type of luggage earlier but for future reference here it is. It is Tutto collaspible luggage and you can see it at www.tutto.com. They are located in South San Francisco so I ran over and they repaired a zipper, a latch and a handle for $10. I might add that this damage was from airport abuse, not their workmanship. I now have four pieces as I picked up one of their 'samples' while I was waiting. Yes I waited 20 minutes and they had it repaired. Great service. It's not cheap but it's not TUMI either. The great part about this luggage is it collaspes and slides right under the bed in the cabin, out of sight. I have the luggage, the scrappers tote, the sewing machine bag and the serger bag. The sewing machine bag looks like the regular luggage so I use it for the trip also. Anyway I can't say enough good things about them and I don't get any kick backs either....hahaha.

Three weeks from today we will be at Castaway Cay!!!!!! :cool1::pirate::dance3:
