Little Known Christmas Fact
Not long ago and far away, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip...but there were problems everywhere. ...And that my friends, is how the little angel came to be on top of the Christmas tree.

thanks for the giggle - i needed that!

DD18 came home from college and guess what she brought me.......:laundy: :laundy: and more :laundy: !!
.

i hear you -usually. DS is the student manager of the girls basketball team at Georgia Tech. They have tournaments, so i get him home from the afternoon of Dec 24 to the afternoon of Dec 27. i'd do laundry to have him a few more days!

well on top of everything else DD2 ended up in the ER last night. Did i ever mention she has Crohns Disease? usally i say suffers from it, because suffer she does. and so she's staying overnight, having an emergency colonoscopy tomorrow and then they'll decide if she needs meds or surgery. and if surgery...when. poor thing -she has days with low pain and days with high pain. it's a good day when it's low and extremely rare when it's no pain. i just am so upset for her. my girls are such sweethearts (which you'll partly get to see), i hate to see either suffer.

great pic and stuff. it's almost 130 am but havent been home from hospital long and needed to unwind and this did it.

btw Jeff can you mark somehow the latecomers to the list of FE? thanks!

Just got home a little bit ago from Tron Legacy. Totally awesome!!!! I can't wait to see it again on the ship.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to drop in to say "hi"
I'm the other half (the worser-half?!?!) of Trekygirl and can't wait for our PC cruise in just a few weeks!!

I hope you as well are Living Long and Prospering. Just gothome from a wet day at Disneyland. I went because this is the only day I could go during the holiday period. I even scored a Hand Made Candy Cane walking out. All the workers were shocked that they were still there. I am still not over Tron. It really blew me away. I even got another Tron shirt today since us Premium passholders are still getting 20% off. I will have to bring it on the cruise.

Thanks everybody for saying nice things about my Capital City.

Looks a great place to visit right now Lynne.
It really is lovely Marilyn, I dont need to go up on the princess street on the way to work but I couldnt resist, on the way home I do need to because I "need" to go to the disny shop:lmao: NOT
What a pretty sight!!!! Wish our town looked that festive. Instead the only lights I see are a sea of brake lights.:lmao:
To be fair thats what I normally see on the bypass!
Glorious photo! I loved Edinburgh - wore out a pair of shoes there one January.
Bet that was chilly !! glad you enjoyed our gorgeous city.

That's a beautiful picture. I'd love to be able to walk around and see that at night!
You cant really walk very fast or far because of all the tourists:rotfl: but the view you get from the wheel if your brave enough to open your eyes is amazing

Happy Sat. cruisers...

Well I had a fun day yesterday... lol My DD decided it was too dangerous to go to the mexican riviera on our trip leaving tomorrow. :scared1: So... she cancelled all the reservations then called me to find a new place to go diving... at the last minute! :scared: Since she is paying for the trip, I am at her mercy. We did end up booking to Grand Cayman. However it took all day to get things done and I am not packed. Today I need 48 hours crammed into 12. Pixie dust badly needed! pixiedust: I haven't packed for the cruise yet either. I will get home from the Cayman trip on Dec 24 then have to go to Houston to work on the 27th, I'll have less than a day to pack! HELP! I hope whatever I throw into the suitcase will work...

Thinking the spa may be my first activity..:banana::banana:

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Christmas.....

Update on our scuba excursion....

We finally got info from the other dive shop. They are offering us a much better deal for the diving. Here is what they said.

January 10th will be a Monday. On this day we have a 2 tank dive at 8:30am on the south side of the island of Aruba.
I can do a ship wreck and a beautiful reef for your group.
Now the divers will all have to be certified and have dove last within the year.
We can pick you all up at the cruise terminal outside the security gate as early as 7:30am no later than 7:50am.
Everybody have to bring with them there c-cards, log book, I.D. and Visa or Master card. No Amex.
After picking you up outside the cruise terminal we will drive to the dive center to do paperwork, get equipment, etc. then we will go to the boat for the trip, we’ll be back at 1:00pm.

The cost for 2 tank dive Own equipment is $70.00 plus Sur charge $5.95 and 1.5% sales Tax. Total $77.09
The cost for 2 tank dive need equipment is $70.00 rental $25.00 plus Sur charge $5.95 and 1.5% sales Tax. Total $102.46
This include: transportation, tanks, weights, mask, fins, boat trip, drinks and fresh fruits.

So the price is $77.09 if you have your own equiptment.
and $102.46 if you need equiptment.

We still have a few spaces available if anyone is interested in joining us.

Send me a pm or email if you are interested.

thanks

DD18 came home from college and guess what she brought me.......:laundy: :laundy: and more :laundy: !!

DS arrived yesterday from Alma with what DH said was a semester's worth of dirty laundry. I had the washer/dryer going with my own stuff but got his going this morning while he slept in. But he can finish it.

Travelers checks - in case anyone is curious - you can also cash them on the ship. They are my preferred method to travel with - had my credit card turned off the first time we cruised because I didn't call - won't go there again, especially since Capital One told me they could still stop it even after I told them when and where we would be. If the don't want my cash, they don't want the sale.

What a week - and Tuesday was the kicker. I work in a 'historical' building in town on the third floor - with a historical elevator. It has been on the fritz several times over the last month but I got it in with a co-worker Tuesday, pushed the button for the basement, the door closed and we sat - and sat, and sat and sat! Actually, we did finally sit on the floor. The phone just goes to 911 so they called the fire department but they were of no use either. Thank heaven the Otis serviceman was just a few blocks away. It was kind of a long 15-20 minutes but it has not worked since. Climbing up and down the stairs waiting for the next repair has about worn my knee (that really needs replaced) out. But I am sure the rest of the climb is my fat butt good.

Lynne - how beautiful! Enjoy that sight.

Packing is going well - DH has gone to scouts for the day so DS and I are headed out to run errands and get that last minute stuff I have been putting off. So everyone have a great day.

:scared1: that must have been scary and boring all in one.

Well, I wasn't in there long enough to get bored. My co-worker kind of freaked out in the beginning - I could not decide if she was really mad or what but then she calmed down and we just visited. The lights were on, we were not moving and it was warm so it really was OK. I am just thankful I went to the ladies room before I got in there - after 2 cups of coffee and 6 cups of tea, that could have been - well, not so good.

Good evening! My I can't believe the time is passing by so fast. We just decided last night to make a quick trip to AZ so will be spending tomorrow night in Bakersfield, Sunday afternoon, night and most of Monday in Kingman and then on to Phoenix. Anyone live along the way that's up to a quick meet n greet? I do not like that drive but it's a necessity. We will be returning Wednesday via Los Angeles and I-5 if anyone's on our route home.

Judy

Will you be driving thru Lake Havasu? We live there, but we arent far from Kingman about 40 miles.

I am so sorry for your daughter. As parents we so want to take their pain and have them feel better. I misunderstood your post at first. I thought you meant your DD was 2. But 2 or 22 it is never easy. Sending prayers and pixie dust her way.

oh, am i doing this wrong? i was thinking DD1 was my oldest, the one on the ship, and DD2 was my middle child, my 26 yo. sorry!

Thanks for your wishes. yes, i'd take it all away in a new york minute if i could. she's such a lovely kid. NO one deserves this misery though.

sak0526 Hope your daughter is better. I know how it is when your child is suffering.

It is a gloomy, rainy, damp day here isn "sunny FL". I baked 5 kinds of Christmas cookies and want to make one more kind' My mother used to make these little Italian cookies so I am going to try and do them later.

I am starting to panic about getting things done. One daughter is coming Thursday night, my other daughter with the three children is flying down Christmas Day. Between all of them, Christmas, cooking etc. I don't know when I will get packing.

Hope everyone has a good day.

I have forgotten what was decided about the cookie recipe exchange, or was it just a regional recipe exchange? It doesn't appear to be on the first page. Can anyone remind me and anyone else who might have forgotten please?

Anyone interested in exchanging cooking recipes please email them to gail@lindamood.com and I will compile them and send them back out after the cruise. I will give everyone until January 15th to get them to me.

LindaBabe - could you please put that on the one of the first pages pretty please.
