Will you be driving thru Lake Havasu? We live there, but we arent far from Kingman about 40 miles.

Tami, I wish we had more time and could run down to LHC. We lived in Kingman for five years and know some people in LHC. It's a great area. We arrive Kingman mid to late afternoon Sunday and leave mid afternoon Monday. Just need to see DH's Dad who lives in Kingman before heading South on 93 to Phoenix. I think the closest we will be to you is I-40/95 junction as we head to Kingman. If you are up that way on Sunday we would love to meet for coffee or soda. Is there any place near the junction for that?

Looking forward to meeting you, if not Sunday, then on the SHIP....not long now....

Just got a call from the Nursery. They have a tree that we have been searching for. We have to go see it tomorrow in Fort Mohave. Ship it will have to be. If you have time, try Scotty's Broasted Chicken. He has a place here in Havasu, but just opened one in Kingman. It's the only fried chicken I will eat--yummy and less calories than fried. Jasmine & I went to see Tangled today. I loved it. Of course being the sentimental person I am, I cried! I will go see Tron and Narnia next week.

I have been old that there is a small table at the top of the escalator. I will be there for pickup until about 11:30ish or so. If you don't catch me there, please pick them up in my cabin between 1:00 - 2:00 or leave me a message on my cabin phone to make arrangements. Everyone else who ordered should have thiers as the last batch went out early this week.

Well i was just going over previously posted packing tips. Thats it - i'll never be done packing!! some stuff i;m bringing is stuff i'm getting for xmas, so i cant even think about it. not that i'm ready for xmas anyway...guess whatever iget packed will have to do. i'm seriously thinking i'm going ot bring stuff (sample travel size things) that i may never use or things like bonine that i wont finish that i'm just going to leave behind.

got so thrown off today with daughter in hospital. not only l did i miss so much time to start this (xmas and cruise) organizing, but i just got thrown into an emotional tizzy, wanting to talk to my dad and wanting ot just make her well, and then truly selfishly thinking i hope she is ok so i dont miss the cruise! (though she and i talked about it - she remiinded me nothing happens fast so i could plan on going and taking care of her if need be when we get back - what a great kid i have! all of them!!) but my emotions just got the best of me, alternating between snapping in anger at DH and tearing up.

well, ya'll didnt need ot hear all that but thanks for listening! three weeks from today we'll be well underway!! woot!! (and yes, it's 130 in the morning est, and i cant figure out why i'm up!!)

Sherri, I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. I am sure your daughter understands how much you love her and remember if you did cancel she would feel terrible.
Is there anything we can do to help you setup your communication plan? DCL emergency contact number, cell phone, computer access? If there is anything at all we can do to help you let us know.

Poor you. Sorry your daughter is in hospital. I hope she is soon home well. Don't feel bad about giving a little thought to your maybe missing the cruise. All your emotions and thoughts will be all over the place, but you know that your daughter is first in your thoughts. You just have so much else to think about too right now. Husbands also understand our snapping at them, they have got used to it over the years, and he will be worried too no doubt. A good cry is ok!!!

Hang tough, Babe! The situations will all resolve themelves given time. Remember to eat right and drink lots of water. Obviously you're not sleeping well, but try to rest. These things won't help your daughter directly, but it will help you be stronger to support her and get done what you need to get done.


Baked cookies yesterday. House guest isn't coming, so now I need to pack and mail cookies to her. (Long sad story) Must decide today whether I'm shipping a box to the ship or schlepping it with me. Shoulder is still painful so concerned about managing the luggage. DH & I 41st anniversary today. Other than that, it's quiet around here.
