Just checked the latest info on Heathrow - 10 hours ago posting - says no flights until tomorrow. We're worried about our friend who is supposed to leave London Tuesday morning. She has a lay-over here at SFO - on her way to New Zealand - so I am planning (hoping) to get to spend Wednesday with her. However, from what I'm reading, it's doubtful she will get out. Sigh. Poor thing - she really needs this vacation.

I hope all the UK members of the cruise stay safe and warm!

I think one problem is now they are so backlogged, but i hope your friend gets away on time or close to. It really has been ridiculous that the biggest airport just hasn't coped, however we don't normally get this kind of weather, so investing in equipment etc to cope with it just hasn't been on the radar!!! It might be now of course.

On a personal note...one of the pups went to a new home!

We still have two of them and so we will have them for the next week at which point - they will go to a different foster home if not adopted. I was very excited she was adopted and still hoping for the other two. Would love for them to be CHristmas puppies! Thanks for everyone's good wishes. I just worry about them so much...as thou they were my own.

Aaaw, so pleased for one of the pups. I can understand you caring about them so much. I hope the other find good homes soon too.

WEDDING over it was wonderful; even the rain didn't dampen our joy. So blessed to have a daughter now.

Did loads and loads yesterday and stayed home watching the rain. Online shopping has been a big help plus DH who retired Just last week. He's running all the little errands!!!

Four days left of work till Christmas. The honeymooners will be back and I should have four boys + one daughter under one roof for one day For me, relationships, the people you love and invest time in are the blessings of life.

Chippermerlin--felt that one bang last night. Made the dogs become unglued. Aftershocks--no like

Goof princess- glad to hear all went well for the wedding. bring some pictures. I guess Tony has not had time to relax since he retired. Well guess what- retirement bring a different kind of busy days- hopefully all happy things. Aw, shucks, your praise for the nametags makes me smile My original plan long long ago was to get a group together to "gift" lanyards and nametags to the group----we helped finance this for the 1st 5 night cruise back in 2008---but you all seemed to think that the Disney-provided lanyards were good-enough. Sigh. That is when I offered to make the nametags---yes, they are free---my little "gift" to the group And now we have special lanyards that we purchased individually so I am very happy!

I want to say "Thank You" to Linda for posting the picture for me! I told my husband that we would get more names if we did that! I can print them up until Sunday January 2nd.

I really hope the weather in Europe settles down so everyone coming can get here. Hubby leaves on Jan 5 to fly to Croatia to see his family for 2 weeks. I hope there are no travel problems. Plan to book next years cruise on board just have no idea. Want to try to go to HH in Oct and then either the 7 day or maybe just the 4 day. So many options and so little time.

They take your credit card in the terminal and your onboard account is set up. You can actually do it on line before hand, but they will still want to see the CC, I think. We did it on line.

Cute Picture, Val! I actually saw a family portrait with the Captain that was very remeniscent of that - even Capt Thord was making a face.

Sorry if I am telling you something you already know. When you board they will give each in your party a "card to the world". The card is the only way to make purchases on board. Although they take your info on-line, they ask you to print out the payment authorization sheet with you to check-in. Some people state that they are going to pay in cash. If you are doing that you can either give cash and they will post it to your account or when you reach a $200 debt they send you a message to your room and you must go pay off the account before you can charge more.

You can ask to get a copy of your account anytime during the cruise and they will be provide you with a copy the last night. They break down how much was charged to each card.

It is easy to just hand a card over (somehow it is even easier then giving a credit card) They first cruise we went on our final statement couldn't be slipped under the door - it was to big!!
