Good morning all from a cloudy and rainy Los Angeles for the third day in a row and we have three mire days of rain ahead of us. It us supposed to stop Wed. My parents have their anniversary on Tuesday. Speeking of parents, yesterday mom canceled her part of the trip. Everything is fine in the long run just she will need to be home. Last night after work I went to see Tron again, but this time in the IMAX format. It was just as good the second time around.
Still cloudy and rainy up here, too. Alan, wish your folks a Happy Anniversary. Sorry we won't get to meet your mom. Glad you liked TRON - our kidlet liked it and DH is planning on seeing it on the cruise.
Today's excitement: at 9:28 am, we heard a BIG bang and the house had one sharp jolt.
Turns out that there was a magnitude 3.1 quake just 1.39 miles from our house. Wow! We've never been that close to an epicenter before. Didn't even know there was a fault at that location. Fortunately, no one seems to be hurt, and nothing fell off the shelves at nearby stores. If you were in a car, you didn't feel it - as Goofprincess reported. (For those of you familiar with our area, the epicenter was right behind Rancho Shopping Center in Los Altos.) I am happy to have small earthquakes, rather than one like the Loma Prieta quake of 1989, which caused part of the Bay Bridge to collapse, etc. Des, hope you were able to find homes for the puppies. I'd love to have another dog, but until I stay home for any length of time, it's not feasible.
Goofprincess's son's wedding was wonderful. We had such a good time. I'll let the "mother of the groom" fill everyone in on the details.

Please let me know---thanks!
Such a delemia! Also I need to finish wrapping presents! I did decorated Liz's tree. It is fun to open someone else's ornaments!
She has so many neat ones. The house looks lovely, but she is still not completely unpacked. Well, to tell the truth, neither am I, but I just have to start packing again!

We'll keep the good thoughts coming for the other two.
