Been lurking a lot lately and trying to keep up.

Some of my FE gifts have been on backorder :scared1: Hopefully coming within 10 days. I don't even have a FE yet.

Just started packing clothes-we don't need those shorts now anyway. Trying to borrow more luggage since I got a room for DH and DS#3 at the last minute.

We are flying in the night before the cruise. Do we have to pick up our luggage or will Disney pick it up and hold it overnight? Still need to get a room at MCO Hyatt.

Also still need to get transfers from port to hotel and hotel to airport. I know nothing about CA or LA so it is daunting to pick.

Is the zip-lining in PV still available? I also thought I saw a fishing excursion that I can't find now??

I hope you all are better planners than I am, I seem to be way behind.

So, Im bored at work.....snow isnt all that bad;) and was thinking..... Last week for the cruise I bought a bottle of Glenmorangie ......... meaning The Glen of Tranquility
SO............. who wants to come to 5009 for pre dinner drinkies on the 13th?
There wont be a lot of choice but I can promise bud, wine or hiskey:thumbsup2
How many can we fit in a cat 11 state room? might be fun trying to find out? Anytakers? I am on late dinner so was thinking 7ish? If theres too many we can spill next door to Mums. I should tell Len and Mum my plans:laughing:

Russ and I would love to join you in celebrating your Birthday! We also have late seating so it will work out perfect.

1 month from today we will be at OKW on the eve of our WONDERful cruise.

OH, ME TOO!

Cookie Recipes - I'll bring one -

or, we could do what one cruise I was on did - AFTER the cruise - send them electronically to one person who assembled them in a word document and sent them out to each person who had participated. Then they could print them - or not, as they chose.

What do you think?

I think the one we got last year was quarter sheet size, wasn't it, Gail?

brilliant idea you have. I agree it is a great idea just to have them collected electronically and allow everyone to print their own. Perhaps those who want to participate can add contact info, or not. Should it be stored on the thread, website or some place else? Val

Holly, I went to the Emporium on Tuesday and they said you had left just before I got there. Sorry I missed you and hope you are feeling better.

Sorry! I was put on medical leave since my bronchitis came back :( I am happy to say I got the a-okay to go back to work this Tuesday and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Wow -- busy day on the boards!!!

Lynne...we would love to celebrate your birthday with you! Stay warm with all that snow!

I'm up for cookie/recipe exchange...now to find that perfect one!

One calendar month from tonight we will be arriving at MCO...:cool1::cool1:

Busy upcoming week -- who knew I'd have to re-live High School freshman year?!? It's "Dead Week" aka pre-finals week, then the following week are Finals...then Christmas then de-Christmas, pack and meet ALL you wonderful folks...:lovestruc:lovestruc

We went down to the port tonight to see the Wonder sail out. It was very COLD and windy. There were few people out on deck. I was thinking that will be our home for two weeks. Love to hear the horn blow.

Glad to hear you are in FL safe and sound!! Wave to the ship for me. Tony and I wish we were there already. :yay:

Hello everyone,

I would like introduce ourselves. Forgive me, I'm new to posting and new to this whole cruise meet concept. My family & I will be going on this exciting cruise thru the Panama Canal. We have 2 connecting rooms on deck 2 aft. I will be traveling with my two girls who are 11 & almost 13. Then my mom and brother will in the other room. (My husband is not interested/unable to come.)

We have been fortunate to travel a number of times together to WDW. Then spring of 2009 we did a "try me" 3 night cruise on the Wonder. It worked! My family was hooked. I couldn't wait to get back on that ship. So needless to say we are super excited for this trip. We will be flying in on Jan. 1st and hit each of the parks once. I fell in love with the christmas decorations 2 years ago. So I'm excited to see the dream castle lights & the lights display @ DHS again.

I see you have a lot of things planned during the cruise. I don't know how much we will participate in. But it looks like there is a good chance we will bump into some people since it is such a big group. I'm hoping there are some nice kids that my girls can hang out with since it is such a long cruise. I would love to experience some of the adult areas from time to time.

Diane, Welcome. We are Bob and Valerie, from San Francisco. This will be our 11th DCL. This is a great group of cruisers, very welcoming and supportive. I recommend reading the first page of this thread to learn about all the going ons and what is still available. Look forward to meeting you and your family. Val

Welcome Diane & family!

There's quite a bit of info on the first page of this thread if you haven't already checked it out. If you have any questions, just ask there are several on here that have done the PC cruise before and are very helpful.

This will be our second DCL cruise too.

Welcome to our Group!! We are all getting excited about the upcoming cruise and quite a few are planning pre-WDW stays. My family - me (Tahara), DH (Wally) and DD (14.5 - Cassie) - will arrive at midnight the night prior to sailing...this will be our 10th cruise -- ALL Disney ships, we've been very spoiled!

Val & ACDSNY's recommendation regarding Page 1...very helpful place to start!! We have a webpage also, so send your information to Jeff so he can get your information added.

Send your girls over to the Teen/Tween thread (see Page One for the link) -- there are fewer kiddos on this sailing than say-midSummer ones, but quite a few in the 11 to 15 range!

Welcome, Welcome!!!

Hi, everyone! Well, once again, I have managed to be here for a few days at a time, then off for a month or more so I've missed SO much, including, sadly, deadlines for Order of the Ditch certificate and a few other things, but in the end the only thing that matters is I'm going on a Disney Cruise!!!

I've been trying to sort through everything but it's just too much to try to read the whole thread so I do have one question: Is anyone else planning to go on the "Canopy Zipline Tour over 11 Waterfalls" in Costa Rica? http://www.adventureparkcostarica.com/en/canopy-tour-over-11-waterfalls.html

I'm pretty sure we're going to do this and we have a group of 6 people going. I'm pretty sure they offer a discount for larger groups, so if there's already a group started we'd love to join that one rather than start another one! It's currently $99 per person which seems like a pretty good deal to start with considering it includes a horseback ride AND lunch, but cheaper is always better for the same thing!

Let me know where to look if there's already something started. If not I'll start a group in case anyone else is interested.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome, Diane! This is a great group of friendly people and you will find yourself fitting right in if you just hang around and participate in the conversations. There will be plenty to do on the cruise even if you don't join in a lot of "official" DISboard activities, and with our group taking up a fairly decent percentage of the passenger count I'm sure we'll all run into each other plenty! Be sure to order up a nametag (see page 1) so others can identify you as part of the gang!

Welcome Diane (and family)!

At last, DH and I are moving tomorrow -- so please send pixie dust that it stops raining (yes, in Los Angeles.... nope, I don't get it either).

If you were going to send us something pre-cruise and need our new address, please PM me!

No internet until Tuesday morning, but hope you all have a great Monday! :wizard:

Too cute!

I just finished making 2 lemon cakes and a batch of brownies to take to work tomorrow for one of my staff members, it's her birthday. One of the lemon cakes is for DH as it's his favorite.

Only four more work weeks!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Hello Diane and welcome. You do realise there will be no going back to 3 night cruises after this one don't you?;):rotfl2:

I am sure you will have time to order one yourself. I seem to remember them being very speedy dispatching them.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Yes, You will need to NOT use your cruise luggage tags when you fly. You WILL need to collect your luggage yourself and take it to the Hyatt.

Check page 1 post one for excursion information if you're looking for NON-Disney excursions.

Sorry! I was put on medical leave since my bronchitis came back :( I am happy to say I got the a-okay to go back to work this Tuesday and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

SO Glad you're better! THat bronchitis has been nasty stuff this year.

Welcome aboard! My husband is also staying home - to ski! :rotfl2: We're going to have a great time - too bad for them, right?

Read the first two posts on page 1 - that will go a long way toward getting you up to speed on what's happening around here. The link to our cruise website is in my signature block below.

Amen, Sistah! I like to be out on deck nice and warm!

Happy day, Everyone!
