The list has been updated, once again, with all the info... Including what wideeyedwonder considers a ummm, well ummm.... well... It's a formal night portrait I guess.....

Thx Jeff...I figured that it's best to know what you are getting BEFORE you meet us! (I was surprised that Captain Thord was able to crack a smile!)

(And thanks for all of the work keeping the list up to date!)

Thank you all for the well wishes. Doctor said it went well, test results should be good, find out in a few days. Home in my comfy bed resting.

Happy to hear all is well. Get your rest.
Since we're on the subject of animals....we have 5 kitties (all rescues), Buzz Lightyear, Tinker Bell, Duchess, Casey & Mattie (4, I named after Disney characters).

Whale Watching ~ Cabo San Lucas
Awhile back I spent hours & days looking into whale watching in Cabo. I read reviews, I watched youtube videos(great resource), checked hours available and compared prices. No matter what tour, you're going to find good & bad reviews. I feel that if there was a tour I could do for less money (half what Disney is charging) in a port I feel more comfortable in, I would book it. Below is a link to the one I finally decided on & booked. I've had great communication with them, they've answered all my emails in a professional & timely manner. They do have a limit between 40 - 50 people on a cruise.

Company - Pezgato Marine Adventure
Time - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
2 hour tour
Price - $30 per adult
$15 per child (5-12 yrs old)
Gate 4 - pretty close to the tender dock

This still gives us a little time to walk around and go take a picture in front of Cabo Wabo (Sammy Hagar's bar).

Thought there might be others wanting to save a little money and fun to do with other DIS cruisers.:boat:
We would like to do this and I clicked on the link & I think there are two whale watchings. Which one did you select?

Would anyone be concerned about bringing little kids out whale watching (I have 5yo twins)? Based on the pictures of some of these boats, it doesn't look to me like they even have a railing going completely around the boat.

My two biggest concerns are 1) how safe are these boats for little ones, and 2) on these smaller boats, are my kids more likely to feel nauseous (that could make for a long 2-2.5hrs).

Okay, I answered my own question about the time for the whale watching at Cabo! I sent Ryan a text and got an immediate reply that he is all for it so now we are booked for whale watching and like you said it will give us time to walk around and the last time we were there the vendors along the shore were unreal!

I'd feel fine as long as you have 1 to 1 coverage of the kids (1 adult per). I'd be a little more nervous if someone is running loose. If your kids are swimmers, I would relax that a little bit more. All of these boats will be safe and all external areas should have railings of some type and any exposed edge you see in pictures is probably covered by a railing further back. Overall though, it's going to be your call.

In terms of the sickness, in general kids are pretty good, but there really is only one way to find out. If it does happen, get them to the centerline of the boat, as low as they can get on the boat and lie down along the centerline.

I get seasick so easily so I know I will put a new patch on that day and maybe take a pill from the first aid station. The only time I got seasick on a cruise was the ride back from parasailing. That little boat flew and my behind bounced up and down on the seat like I don't know what. It was a short ride and as soon as I got off I told by dh "just let me go to the room and lie down for a few minutes". That is what I did. After about half an hour I was okay, but I was miserable!! It is a horrible feeling and I would hate for a child to feel like that!:confused3

Harole Ann, That's great! I figured once we know how many will join us we should arrange a time & place meet. All go together on the tender and to the Gate 4 dock, less chance of leaving someone behind.

I actually learned it from my Dad back when he went bluefish fishing regularly. Getting low and on the centerline minimize the rocking of the boat, so it reduces the movement, which makes things better, and lying down always helps.

Thanks, Lori that is the perfect way to do it so we will all be together before we get on the tender. I got another text from Ryan after I booked it. He is reallly excited about. Thank you so much for giving us the web site.

In search of a Canadian to pick up something for me...please pm if you can help.

We finally have some much needed rain! Let it get out of it's system before football Friday!

We are booked on the whale watching excursion. It said there were 33 spaces left after we got ours.

I read the reviews..sounds nice! And definitely appreciate saving the money. What I saved will cover our excursion in Manzanillo so I am happy.

Thanks for checking into this! I also read the Disney "excursion" and it sounds very similar to this line it might be the same company as well.

Great news! hmmmm....I seem to see a fondeness for :tinker:

What are you doing in Manzanillo?

My DH & I are planning to do the Manzanillo bus tour....we did it in 2005 and enjoyed it!

We are looking at the city tour - I think it's $30 each or so. Since my DD is homeschool, I am allowed to count each port as a field trip day if she does something educational. Since I am not the most adventurouse, I thought the city tour seemed like a good idea.

I love Tink! Is the bus tour the same as the city tour?

Yes, it is the city tour & shopping.:cool2:

Yikes! Glad you and your wife are okay!

I hope everyone has a great day today!

Thanks. The wife is acctulay in her home town of Freeport Maine right now. She is helping tend to her Dad. He is alright, but I am not going to get into it here except to say everything is fine and on the way up. She got some FMLA time approved so she is gone for two weeks. She should be home on the 24th. When she woke up she called me and I told her what happened. She said the same thing I did, thank god the firefighters got there quick because I dont want to have to live with your parents. I then told her she was lucky she is in Maine and I guess could just stay if our place did go up. She said I had a great point and that she would just meet me at WDW on Oct 11. We can't take anything seriously. Oh well I guess that is just how her and I deal with things, sarcasm and bad humor.

Is anyone out there able to book the Disney excursions. I was told Sept. 23rd but could be wrong :goodvibes

I'm thinking about the Whale Watching in Cabo (through Disney) and the Dolphins in Puerta Vallarta with my (then) 4 year old doing the dolphins and kids. Any experience with that one?

What's everyone doing in Costa Rica? Are there any rain forests closer than 2 hours away (long bus ride for a preschooler)

Thanks

Concierge & Platnium CC should have been able to book sometime last week, I think.

I know my parents were able to book Palo, but we haven't done any excursions yet b/c DH & I are only gold members and we wanted to book all 4 of us at the same time so we were certain we all got the same excursions.

I thought if your reservations were linked you could book everyone in your party once your time to book came open.
