Hi All :)

Quick post - nearly midnight here, and I start work at 6.30am. The kids are on school holidays for three weeks, so nice and leisurely.

Spent the weekend in the Hunter Valley (large wine making region in Australia) - our son competed in a choral competition, so we made a weekend of it. His school came 2nd out of 50-odd, so we were all pleased. The weekend away was just what the dr ordered for me, too - haven't had any break or holiday in well over a year.

The online reservation system isn't co-operating for ADRs tonight, so off to bed I go. It's going to get VERY cold here this week (well, cold for Sydney - close to freezing overnight !)

Havea great week.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Been away to the world for the weekend, it was Jeff's birthday. We met up with WeLuvDCL and family. Jack (DS) and Emily (DD to WeLuvDCL) had a great time at Blizzard Beach.
Just found out on the main cruise board that Barb and Tony (yes that Barb and Tony) are going on our cruise. I invited them to come on over and say hi on the thread.
Back to writing papers for school.... :surfweb:

Oh I wish I could be at BB we love the lazy river! Achoo! Have to wait till Oct. Only 112 to go!

We love the Disney waterparks. We've only taken Jack to BB, next time we want to go to TL. It looks like there might be more he can do there, but who knows.
Anyone been to Aquatica?

Kinda new to this thread as I have not really been following. Whats going on. I noticed there is a link to the cruise website but how do I sign on so that I can add my family to the mix?
What is everyones plans? Are you staying at Disneyworld or will you be spending some time at Disneyland when we arrive in LA.

We live in Southern California, Los Alamitos so we will be spending one night prior to the cruise at Bay Lake Towers at Disneyworld....one of our homes away from home.

Does anyone have any idea what the dining schedule will be? When is pirate night, formal night and semi-formal night?

Look foward to getting to know all of you......

Cruising will be ME, My husband and our two daughters 5 & 6

Welcome Aboard LimoFam5!!!

We'll fly into Orlando on Jan 4th and will be staying at the BWV until the cruise. We'll also stay two nights after the cruise at the VGC to play at DL.

You can PM TigfanJeff with your info and he will add you to the official website.

Welcome LimoFam5! We are staying at WDW for 3 nights prior to the cruise, and 2 or 3 nights at DL after the cruise. I call it my "Ultimate Disney Vacation" since it covers both major resorts and the 2 week cruise!

I am looking forward to when the dining schedules come out also. Nothing is out yet, so we're all just trying to be patient in the meantime, although for planners like me it is very hard!

Welcome LimoFam5!! You have a lot of catching up to do as this is our 2nd thread. We are flying in the 4th and staying at MCO Hyatt and we are sooo excited. Friends picking us up in LA to drive back to Arizona. We will miss our dogs terribly....

Welcome aboard! There's lots of information on the first page of this thread and the first page of the previous thread as well as on the cruise web site. Happy planning!

I'm flying down two days before - having a cousins meet at WDW, staying over the night before at the Radisson in Port Canaveral. DL for 3 days at the end, then to Vegas to see my son, and finally home to the frozen north, where my husband will have been happily skiing the whole time.

Welciome! you do have a lot of catching up but i find everyone here is helpful and supportive (my dad just went under hospice care...). (so my even going is iffy right now). More people I think in your situation than mine (my kids are grown and other than my daughter who's performing on the ship, no kids coming). but nontheless, a freiendly group. One of sthe things i've been trying to do when i can get on between visits over the next state to my dad is to get people to sign their names so we can start to learn them! I'll do it here again!

WELCOME TO THE THREAD: YOU, Your husband and your two daughters 5 & 6!!!!!

LimoFam5, we are also SoCal residents. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hope everyones having a great weekend!
The air went out in car and in Florida air is a must so I went out and bought a new one yesterday.
We got a 2011 Journey ( sounds like it could be a disney ship) anyway guy must have thought I was crazy because we were discussing payments and he wanted more down and I said well I could but thats into my cruise fund so NO not going to happen! You know your a disney holic when....

I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday...we are off to enjoy air-conditioning & Toy Story 3:3dglassesD, if I can pull DH away from:happytv:Wimbledon!

I spent Wednesday afternoon at Wimbledon - got to watch part of the marathon set between the Frenchman and the American. WOW! Also had afternoon tea which included the traditional strawberries and cream. I have a much greater appreciation for Wimbledon now that I've been there in person.

Saw two shows - "Sister Act" - much better than the movie and "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." I think this is now my favorite play. Both were wonderful.

Regarding pills - no problem with them in small packets in my carry-on. Flew from SFO to Heathrow and back - never once asked about them. My luggage was searched at SFO, though - probably because of the box of Clorox 2 dry bleach that I was taking to my friend. Also had two cans of macadamia nuts, one can of almonds and a large package of dried apricots. LOL!

Welcome! Just think, we are getting close to the 6 month mark!!!

We are arriving the morning of Jan 5 and staying at BLT. We plan on flying home the day we arrive in CA. We're pushing it for DH to get the 2.5 weeks off for the cruise so we won't get to stay at either WDW or DL as a family. However, DD and I may go out a few days early or stay a few days later for DL.

Had a nice weekend here. DD and her Girl Scout troop took a trip to San Antonio (about 3.5 hour drive) and did an overnight camp. They had a lot of fun. DH had to work all day yesterday/last night but DS and I spent yesterday at friends house swimming and stuff. Today, once DH got home, did a bit a shopping and then had friends over for dinner.

It's been hot and humid here, but what else is expected in summer in South Texas??? Getting a good tan though. Too bad it will fade by the cruise.

I am a bug tennis fan would have loved to seen Wimbeldon! My trip is called It's a Small World! My Mom will be coming with us to Disney on Jan 2 and stay with us at BCV for 4 nights. We wanted to see her before we leave and it was hard to be off for 4 days so close to Christmas and the cruise. She will fly home and we go to the Wonder.

Hi and Welcome!

DH (Mike) and I (Pam) will be flying down to WDW on the 5th and staying at POFQ the night before the cruise. We are the only ones from our family cruising as the kids are all grown (22-28 at cruising time and although DD#3 would love to come along- missing a the second semester of her senior yr at college didn't seem like a viable option LOL.) I will be staying at DL until tuesday after the cruise meeting a group of crazy friends while DH will be returning home on Sunday to go to work on Monday.
