I am seeing this a lot now that we are talking airfare again. I just want everyone to be informed on industry terms. Their are three types of flights. Non-Stop, direct, and conecting. Non-Stop is the self explanitory one. A Direct flight will make a stop or two before you get to your final destination. A conecting flight you have to change planes before you get to your final destination. Just wanted everyone to be clear so their is no confusion.

Ah right, thank. Our 'direct' is your 'non stop' I think. Not sure we have any of your 'direct' but could be wrong. I just look at what the individual flights say. So, I prefer 'non stop' then. I bet there are a few folk caught out by that, though I suppose as long as they don't have to change planes then they won't be too miffed. It is the layover I don't want, but 'non stop' is preferable of course.

We booked our return flight from LA. A red eye direct to Tampa.
Went to AK today. Holey heck it was HOT HOT HOT! Not use to it yet....

We're staying at BLT the night before the cruise as well. We snagged a grand villa.

I booked our flights back in February. We are 1st class on US Air. We have a 3 hr drive to the airport fly from Vegas to Charlotte change in Charlotte to Orlando. Only need one way kids picking us up in LA. We paid $500 each. But DH is EXTREMELY claustrophobic so thought he would do better with the extra room. Plus we can have extra bags with no extra cost.

Where have you hired your car from?
Think it was hertz, but cant remember at the moment, long beach.

Sorry I meant non stop. The heat got to me!

Ah got it. Lucky I live by the coast, so even though it will be hot this week in other parts of So Cal. it is not to go above like 72 durring the day. The nights will be around 60. Just perfect.

thank you all for the best wishes etc for my dad. i wish the best for those who also have family going through this type of trauma.

we haven't thought about planes, can't decide what day to come back. if i don't work i dont get paid. and we're going down tuesday before. too soon to book thru dvc. guess then we'll figure it out.

As a TA - Often I have clients ask for a direct flight and I clarify which one they mean. Although to me..direct should mean directly there

If it helps..worth the cost!

We are staying at the Grand Californian tonight. As a surprise for my DD - we book at villa and invited her best friend to stay with us.

DD earned a special party for selling Girl Scout cookies this year but she was unable to go so this is for her. We have a great view of DCA and the World of Color area... they told us they are going to run it tonight as they have been doing a soft opening all week....looking forward to seeing the changes they have put in since the last time we got to see it in practice.

Going to run around DTD for an hour or so in about 15 minutes (the girls are finishing dinner). They swam for about 2 hours and are already exhausted! :rotfl2:

Hopefully they will fall asleep early tonight or I will have to listen to giggling from the other room all night!

I hope things go as well as possible with your Dad... as for when you go back..do you normally work weekends? Maybe you could sneak a day here since its the weekend when we get in!

I loved staying at the GCH last PC cruise. We had some developer points from buying DVC and couldn't use them in Orlando before the time scale would run out, so before the villas were built you could use them to stay at the hotel. It is a really beautiful hotel, though the staff were overwhelmed with all the PC cruisers arriving on Memorial Day Sunday!!!

It is a beautiful hotel. Since we are only about 15 minutes away, we come often.

That must have been quite a sight - all those DCL travellers showing up about the same time...:lmao:

I would love to stay there again.

It was great in the parks and around too, meeting up with or spotting cruise mates. I think it so helped with that post special cruise depression.

We are going to do 2 nights after the cruise. I am hoping to get in. We are now in oil ball watch hoping it will not be as bad as people are predicting.

I think we might stay the next again Fl trip, we want to do the disneyland marathon a year in jan all being well and alive! anybody any pics to post?

Does anyone know when we can call (or if you can already) DCL to find out what the themed dining nights will be, and possibly in what order? I know this is all subject to change but in the past I have always called and gotten the info on when was Pirate Night, formal night, etc.
