Ive never heard of miriad, and congrats on your back to back!!!!
I would like to the the dream and it will have to be a back to back unless they start doing longer cruises.

It means the same. A lot basicly.

If there are a plethora of theme nights will we get some advanced warning on what they might be so we can "be prepared"

My friend at DCL told me once it comes thru the office I would get a heads up.

Last time we had a Pirate Night, Mexican Night and Tropical Night. Supposedly we were going to have a Dancing under the Stars Night outside on our next to last night, but it never happened as it was cold and wet. However people used it as a formal night.

Other than that we had another formal night and 2 semi formal nights.

oooo, that sounds nice as well.

Talk him into it! talk him into it! It's only 2 more days... :lmao:

Believe me, I am going to try! I'm sure there' another $800 in the budget somewhere between now and January!

In '05, there were 2 formal nights and 2 semiformal nights, with a plethora of themed nights.

Yay! I loved themed nights. Not so much a fan of formal and semi-formal nights, but i do enjoy the themed ones.

I'll be on the Wonder for a 4 night this October 31. Do they 'trick or treat'? My DGS may come and that may be a deciding factor. I have been trying to get my DGSs to go for a couple of years but they just aren't ready to leave Mom and Dad. I would love to bring them on the PC, but there is not much chance of that!

Yes, they do have "trick or treating." You had to sign up before hand and let them know you wanted to participate. then, the night before, you received instructions in your room. They had stations set up all over the ship. They had pre-arranged routes for you to take and different people got different ones so as not to bottle up the lines. A lot of people participated. We didn't, but we sat down on deck 3 in the atrium and watched people. Some of the costumes were amazing!

They also had stuff for adults too, like costume contests and other stuff later at night. It really was a fun cruise to be on.

We are thinking of adding the extra two days but we would have to change rooms. Does anyone know if they are going to add a Disneyland package to the cruise? They did last time we did the PC

I did the Magic last year and it docked on Halloween so we were not actually on the ship for the official day, but, we had a special "Halloween" night during out cruise anyway. On that day, the kids dressed up and went trick-or-treating through the ship. They were given bags and a map and then moved from place to place. It ended at the Goofy pool with kids showing off their costumes. That night at dinner they had carved pumpkins and a whole Halloween theme where the kids stayed in costume (they even had a costume contest for the adults)...my favorite were the two kids dressed up like Sushi! What a kick!
From what I understand, they do a Halloween theme on both ship as you get closer to the actual date, but you may want to check with DCL for sure.

Hey Happy Goofy; we are thinking of adding the two days as well. Don't know about a package but we will be doing the park. It would be fun to hang out with you there and get our Goofy fixes. Hope you guys are doing okay; I am still coughing :sad2:. Hope DH got over his bug.

For those who believe in verandahs - any comments on navigators vice the regular ones? we're using DVC points as we've realized otherwise we'll lose this years (and some banked I think) and we're trhying to decide which to get. I'm wondering if the navigators is big enough to stretch out on also. does it have 2 chairs also? thanks!

We're trying the navigators verandah out for this cruise. When I asked earlier I received quite a few positive responses. Here's a link to some pics of 7122.

We got a navigators for our honeymoon about 6 years ago. It was good if you are able to stand up, but sitting down, all we could see was the sky and the walls. There is enough space to stretch out assuming you just lay on the floor.

Also, last I checked all of the navigators were gone. Cheapest verandah is a Cat. 5b. We were lucky enough to get a 6a for this cruise. People cancel though so who knows what may show up.

We had a navigator on the Wonder a few weeks ago. You can stretch out (I fell asleep). However, you don't have the view of a regular verandah.

In other news, Jeff can make one heck of a lemon drop martini. I need my bed now. I'm not 21 anymore!

Hi Goofprincess It is nice to hear from you. I finally caught the cold and cough and had to get an antiobiotic. From what I read there were a lot of others with the same thing.
If we do the 2 days I guess we get it as another cruise. I am going to call again and see what other room we could get without changing. Last time they did offer a Disneyland package-I called Disney about my overcharge problem but really didn't get anywhere except I got a name to call if I have problems on the PC
We really enjoyed the TA and Med and sharing it with you and the others. Keep in touch

We've been missing for a while but now that the med cruise is over, I'm so glad we're already booked on this cruise! As much fun as we had, we just didn't have time to enjoy the ship as much as we wanted to, and the port intensive itinerary was exhausting!

Looking forward to popping in more often and getting to know you all a bit better. It was nice getting to meet some of you on the med cruise!

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is almost here! I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Hey Everyone! So excited we are leaving late tonight (technically tomorrow morning, about 3:00 AM) to drive down to Disney! This is our third year in a row driving and we love it. We get a huge head start with no traffic in those first few hours, get to the SC border for a nice sit down lunch break, then we get to Jacksonville around dinner time. We love staying in Jacksonville near the St. John's Town Center, great area with tons of reasonably priced hotels and great restaurants at St. Johns. We love stopping in Jacksonville because we are just a short 2 hour drive in the morning to Disney after we wake up after a refreshing night's sleep.

So anyways, so excited for this week! Won't be posting much after today, so I'm sure I'll have a lot of reading to catch up on when I get back!
