Sad but true. We are holding out hope, but in reality the only reason why it has not been cancelled is we are still trying to figure out the alternitive plans. Since no one has mentioned it, to all my fellow Jewish cruisers, happy Passover

I know it is a minefeild, and this may rub some the wrong way, but it really gets under my skin that a lot of people just assume I celebrate Easter, or Christmas, or some other holiday. This is one reason I don't put out holiday wishes. You just don't know unless someone tells you. Alright all sorry if I upset anyone, but look at from the other side and you may understand.

HAPPY FESTIVUS!!!
(that's always politically correct)

No really, Happy Passover, Happy Easter, Happy Spring, Happy Sunday, Happy Day!

(did that cover it?)

Happy Bunny Day! Happy Passover and Happy Spring! Just started writing a journal that I got at Borders. I have written about 10 pages so far. Going to make another payment tomorow.

Happy Bunny Day! Happy Passover! Happy Spring! to everyone, also. I am rather fond of today, because it's only the second time in my life that my birthday has fallen on Easter. I was treated to brunch at Trader Vic's this morning. Yum! We canceled our reservations for Disneyland because they didn't seem to be doing anything special for any occasion. Oh, well - it leaves me more money for the PC cruise.

We're going to make our next-to-last payment next week. Yay! Then I'm going to save another two months worth of "payments" to cover tips, excursions, souvenirs, etc.

I hope all our SoCal friends are okay after the earthquakes late this afternoon. We're thinking about you and hope you're all well.

It was nothing. Even by best friend who lives in San Deigo, that's about 120 miles south of me in L.A., said it was not to bad. I do feel sorry for the people in Mexico that this quake will affect. Up here in L.A. it was a 30 second rolling motion. Not to bad at all. Of course if you are not from the area you would say I am crazy for saying that.

I'm sorry I missed the rock and rolling.... Adam was at the grocery store and I was at a meeting. I got a text from a friend about it. :rotfl:

and I'm almost done with the matzah eating! Wahoo!!! (so happy almost-end-of-passover)

Here is one: Happy Opening of the Baseball season. What a opening it was. The Red Sox beat those smelly Yanks 9-7.

That covers it, Jen! I'm not Christian either, nor Jewish, but I'll happily celebrate their holidays with anyone who asks

Hi Everyone :)

I hope you don't mind me "barging" my way in here (or should that be "cruising" my way in ? ;) ).

In any case, I've finally got most of our Disney holiday (vacation) booked, with deposits paid, etc., so thought it was time to start chatting with others.

I'm sooooooo excited at the prospect of cruising up the Panama Canal - it was on my "bucket list" from a very young age, I guess you could say, and when I found out it would conicide with our big trip to the US for our 40th birthdays, then what could be better, really ?

So I look forward to getting to know you all, although I'm not too sure how often I'll post or be able to keep up with you all.

One thing I did want to ask - we're flying home to SYD late on the night we arrive in LA (ie 10.30pm). I'm wondering what we'll be able to fill in our day with after we arrive at Port (not DL, as we're doing that over Christmas). Would a Hollywood tour be possible ?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Welcome Sally. Just wanted to say hi. I an up doing my normal ritual then night before the Dodgers open their season. I am watching The Rookie. Brings a tear to my eye everytime I watch it.

:welcome: Sally! A PC is a grand way to celebrate any birthday!

Alan,

I don't think anyone assumes that you celebrate Christian holidays. It's a greeting that goes out to everyone that does celebrate. I don't remember having seen any that specifically said "Alan, Merry Christmas or Happy Easter!"

We live in America and celebrating or not is your right. I really don't know why you feel that every Christian greeting is about you.

I AM a Christian. I know I'm not suppose to discuss religion on the boards but this is ongoing. Since you don't celebrate, just let the greetings pass.

Anyone who wants to report me to the mods may feel free at this point.

Welcome Sally! That sounds like a wonderful trip you have planned for your milestone 40th birthdays! The PC cruise will surely be wonderful, like you, I have had it on my "bucket list" since a young age too.

I'm curious about what other plans you have for your "big trip to the US"...it sounds like you have several weeks to travel? I would love to know where else you are planning to go! I'm actually planning my big trip to Australia and New Zealand for about this time next year! I want to do one more "big trip" before I have to settle down with a real job and only get the typical US "2 weeks off each year" which leaves no time for exotic trips. I've saved enough frequent flier miles to fly first class so I'm really looking forward to those "lay flat" beds on Air New Zealand! If you have any tips for places or things I should do, I would love if you could PM me and maybe we can talk : )
