Well on the bus back to AKL. 'Ohana was amazing as always. Tomorrow is Yahtsmans Steakhouse. Yummm. I think a ride on Everest is in the cards. I was hoping it would be cloudy tonight to trap some of the heat in so I can go to the Hot Tub and not freeze when I got out, that ain't happening. I was hanging with my friend wHo works for DCL today. Got some interesting conversation In. Can't really get into it, but I have droped a clue as to what we talked about.

Oh....I always call it the People Mover too...I have actually blocked the new name completely from my mind and until now I thought I was one of the very few who really like that ride. That is not the case I see! My kids never want to go on it though.

Sorry you're not coming along, ibouncetoo, but I am sure glad you are not going without!!! Have a great time on your cruise!!!

Happy Monday everyone! No airfare booked here as yet, sort of waiting on Airtran to release their January dates although I did look at Delta and can say that I do NOT have sticker shock.

Great pics of all the pets - they are such a wonderful addition to our lives.

Jackie, I am sorry you will not be along for this cruise, I am on the EB TA, also so I hope to see you around. :)
Alan, Happy early birthday! I know it's Hawaii, it has to be, right? Man, I hope so!
Not much to report, just checking in.
Have a great day everybody!

Yippee! Got air booked going to Orlando now need a good fare from California home.

Got a quote of $209 from SNA. What airport is this and will I have easy transportation from VGC to SNA?

I can't tell you about transportation, but SNA is John Wayne airport in Orange County. If you Google maps it, you will see were it is in relation to DL. As in terms of what we talked about, I am just standing by my clue. Since 2012 will not come out till at least Sep of this year anything can change. Thanks for the Birthday wishes. The Weather is coroperating today so I am going to check out the pool slide at Kadan. It looks good. Talk to you all soon.

Anyone else planning to stay at POR the night before?

Currently we have 2 nights booked at the port before the cruise. If we are not there, we will stay offsite in a vacation rental. It really depends how long DH can get for vacation.

Anyone else planning to stay at POR the night before?

We are planning to stay at POR, POFQ, CBR, or CSR for 2 or 3 nights before. Not sure which yet, when I go to WDW I always stay at the Yacht Club since my parents are paying :goodvibes except 1 time I travelled with a relative and stayed at CSR, and it was nice although of course not the Yacht Club.

Since I'm paying for this trip for my brother and I, and spending the bulk of the money on our cat. 5 verandah room, we are looking to do a mod if the price isnt that much more than the value resorts for that time of year. We did Pop Century for 3 nights before my January 2010 cruise, only because we spent literally only sleeping time on the property/in the room, and thank goodness we weren't on property much of the time, for us it was just not a good experience. The food court food was really bad IMO, and I'm not a picky eater at all. I'm 23 years old, recent college grad and my brother who was with me is 19 and still in college, so we are familiar with college cafeteria food and I would have taken my college dorm food over the stuff at the Pop any day. Plus, the bed in the room was so uncomfortable, the only night it felt good was when we got in at 3 AM on New Years Day after having been up since 5 AM the previous day and spent 18 hours in MK, so after that anything would feel good to sleep on.

So, we are hoping to get a good deal to be able to swing a moderate resort and not have to deal with the Pop or All Stars again, but if the price is a huge difference we can suck it up and do value again, we'll just pack our schedule again with theme parks during the day and signature dining at other hotels at night :cool1: If anyone wants to recommend POR vs. POFQ vs. CBR, I'd love to hear your opinions so I can make a good choice...I liked CSR but would like to try something new if I can.

Before we joined DVC we always stayed at POR. Better pool than POFQ, but it is a bigger resort. We have our two nights at Jambo House. I am just back from from the Kadani pool. Loved the slide, only problem the water was ice cold cause the heater for the pool was broken and just fixed and it takes about 48 hours to properly heat again.

Sorry about the power outage. BRRRRRRR! I will be at WDW from 3/4-8, but don't know where I'll be on Sunday. Am staying at Saratoga Springs because they provide race transportation and Animal Kingdom doesn't. (Gotta use the DVC points for the room.) PM me and maybe we can exchange cell phone numbers.

Just an addendum to the website update. Jeff's power supply for his main computer died. So he has no computer to work on. He's taking it into the Apple store tomorrow to get it replaced, he should have it back tomorrow and then can get back to updating the website.

Apple is great at replacing stuff. My current iPhone is a upgrade cause they did not have in stock my model phone. It was a big upgrade from a orginal iPhone to a 3GS iPhone for free.

I work across the street from the airport, and live in Anaheim. It takes about 25 min. from Disneyland to the place where you get dropped off. (no Traffic!) I love this airport. If your staying at The Disneyland Resort, you will have lots of options. Are you flying right after the cruise? I would think that LAX would be cheeper to fly from. That is where we fly out of and it is about an hour to LAX from Anaheim. As SNA does not offer red eyes to Orlando any more.

We will be arriving at MCO late on the 5th (full school & work day), and plan to stay at MCO Hyatt. Fingers crossed that we can stay post-cruise & enjoy DL! We head to WDW 3/15 - 3/18, via Tampa (gosh, love spring break/last minute travel booking)...bring on that warmer weather!:cool2:

We're thinking of staying at the airport the night before, too. Even though DS will only be in kindergarten, I'm not sure I want him out of school for 5 weeks straight. Plus I anticipate needing the couple of days to finish packing.

But after all the bad weather around the country this year I'm so paranoid that flights will be cancelled and we won't have a plane to fly out to FL in time. Just call me a worry-wart.

We are definitely staying at GCVillas for a couple nights after the cruise though. DH just got that all booked.

we are staying at BLT in WDW for 6 nights prior to sailing and then 2 nights at GCV since we have never been to DL or to the west coast for that matter and flying home from LAX on the sunday

If you're planning to stay at a Hyatt, did you know that Costco is currently selling Hyatt Check Certificates? You get two $50 check certificates for $80. Thanks to the Goof half of Goofprincess, I bought $700 worth of them for $560. DH & I are going to a convention at the San Francisco Hyatt Regency in October. I checked with them and I can use the check certificates with the convention rate. Check with the hotel where you plan to stay to be sure they will honor the check certificates, though, as not all of the Hyatts are. Also, you will not get any change back if you don't use the entire $50. I bought enough of the check certificates to cover the room charge, with some room charge left over to put on my charge card.

Right now our plan is to stay at POFQ the night before the cruise. We'll be flying in to MCO the afternoon of the 5th so we won't even have park tickets- but plan to walk downtown disney- play mini-golf or something non-park related for the afternoon.

We are staying at Universal before the trip, but since they have not opened those dates yet - I cannot book anything. I do have the Radisson booked for the night before the cruise, but I am thinking of changing it to a place that has a Washer and Dryer. :confused3 I have not even approached DH about staying at DL afterwards - not quite sure what he would say - not sure I want to know right now. :rotfl2:

The website, including the deck plans, is mostly updated. A couple of people who moved rooms still need to be changed, but new people are all there.

I will get the 5K list and try and figure out the google spreadsheet thing once my Mac Pro is functional again (Hopefully today).
