I just joined Skype by request of my family. Does anyone know if skype works on board or do you need to be connected to a phone line, or dsl line or something like that?
That would be my thought too. A bunch of free wifi places, as well as public pay wifi (airports and what not) are starting to block bandwith suckers. Tampa International has gone that route recently. Skype is a huge bandwith hog. And since sattelite internet is already a bit sketchy, anything that clogs it up is most likely going to be banned.I could be wrong, but the bandwith Skype would require, would make the ships slow net even slower if people were on it.

Well I won't be on the shuttle to the port, we always rent a car because I like to drive myself and have the flexibility to stop at load up on goodies at Publix and ABC Liquor, but if we do decide to stay at POR/POFQ, we'll try to get in touch there!Morning all!
I guess we might be seeing several of you on the shuttle from POR/POFQ to the port.
I just went on my DCL reservation and you can arrange a "character call" with Mickey, Goofy or Ariel. There is a pulldown where you indicate what cruise you are on (I was worried PC wouldn't be on there but it was!). I have it going to DH's phone on Saturday (shhhhhh .... he doesn't check this thread much).
Also, is that your own wedding cake topper in your picture? I love it! A Cinderella themed wedding in WDW is my fantasy!
Yup!
You should have seen us at the store in Disneyland! We had 15 toppers lined up and we examined each one. We were married at my synagogue, but we had Disney touches throughout (I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "feed the birds.")![]()

Alan, so sorry you didn't have better weather! IT has certainly been a wretched winter on the east coast.
C'mon SPRING!
Yup!

That is amazing, it sounds like it was beautiful. I want my wedding song to be "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" because that is my favorite, but I will also want lots of other Disney music throughout the reception because I am a huge fan of the theme park soundtracks--my favorite tracks are from the Fireworks and parades. Songs like "We Go On", "Promise", "Remember When" etc would be great slow songs for a wedding. I also want my dress to look like Cinderellas, and I'll of course have the horse drawn carriage. I saw a couple in one going around the Boardwalk last year on the way to the Yacht Club wedding pavilion and I wanted to melt, it was so amazing! I have all my Disney Wedding dream plans set. Did I mention I don't even have a boyfriend though? Ah, wishful thinking![]()
If we ever renew our vows, I want the Disney touches throughout. I wasn't into Disney when we got married. Not because I didn't like it, I just hadn't been introduced yet to the Wonderful World of Disney.
I used to say that I wanted DD to get married at Disney World and she agreed. However, now I'm thinking Castaway Cay! Not anytime soon though, we have a good ten years or more![]()
