Yep...I am in.

Even if I have to limp it or walk it or WHATEVER!

I have missed it twice now because I was babying an injury but this time it will just have to suck it up. I will kill any pain that tries to present with KONK KOOLERS!!!!

Who else is in?...unless its pouring or something dreadful...

Does Disney organize this or are you on your own?

I LOVE when Disney organizes it cause I do not have to think!!!!

In november I was recovering from H1N1 and I was not entirely lucid when the kids and I headed to Orlando. I remember thinking in Minneapolis, "if I can just get us on the plane to Orlando, then Disney will make everything work". I was right, I was herded onto the magical express, checked in lickety split (even with no confirmation # or documents) and there was a message on my phone reminding me of dinner reservations:cheer2:

What's not to ?!

If they offer the Castaway Cay 5K run on our trip, how many of you are thinking of doing it? I'd like to try it (assuming they offer it), and I was just wondering who else might be interested.

(5K is 3.1 miles, to us yanks!)

I've only really been into fitness since our last cruise (July 7-night western), but I now really enjoy being active, and I thought that a run around CC early in the morning would be awesome!

Any takers?

I don't run except to the hammocks:lmao:, but I'll certainly bring my :cheer2:pom-poms:cheer2: & support those who do::yay:

I am not really a runner, but as part of my fitness plan this year, my goal is to be able to run the CC 5K (even if I walk it! LOL!)

Lynn, my personal favorte beer is Samual Adams.
Do they have it on the ship?
Ive never tried it but will make a point of it first chance I get.
Sorry to all the non-pet lovers that we've highjacked this thread. :goodvibes
I can totally understand that some people think they are too much work. But they got me through years of infertility and were my babies until we adopted DD (well, they still are my babies, but you know what I mean ;))

Here are my pups.
busterPenny.jpg

The both have papers that they are full breed mini-doxy, but I swear the older one has beagle in her (the tan one). Her face looks just like a beagle, she weighs over 20lbs and loves to lay on the top back of the couch. :)

I also understand how many people do not want kids. We are all different and enjoy different things. But, me, I was born to be a Mom. I love children and my heart melts everytime DD calls my Momma and says "I love you" and kisses and hugs me. And seeing her laugh and play makes me the happiest I've ever been. I was 34 when we adopted DD so I had lots of time to go out partying and enjoy adult vacations. Now, it's all about her and I couldn't be happier. I really do not miss the adult only times (well, maybe Serenity Bay :rotfl2:) But, if you are not that type of person, then you should definitely not have kids. We have friends that don't want children and I'm amazed at how many people will ask if they have children and when they say "no" they will ask why not? That used to bug me when we were trying too. I feel like saying, "it none of your business!" Just because you are married does not mean you want or are able to have children.

On a side note, my husband just called me and said "A guy at work was just looking at the DCL website and said that FL resident rates are out". So, there will be no surprise. I went ahead and told him "Yah, I know, we are booked for your birthday weekend. Happy Birthday!" :cool1: With his work schedule I probably wouldn't have been able to keep it a surprise anyway. He was to work Saturdays sometimes and they are always changing that schedule. Surprises can be too stressfull sometimes. Oh well, he's super excited anyway and said I just made his day. :goodvibes And now he has 2 months to look forward to it.

Sorry for the long post. I'm making the most of my break from work today.
I instantly thought beagle when your pics came up, very cute.

Ditto! I'll be in the hammock next to you cheering everyone on. :thumbsup2

I Just talked to DH again. It turns out his friend at work booked the same exact cruise we did because his wife's birthday is the same day as DH. I'm excited that we will be cruising with someone we know, and they have a 4yo DD so my DD will have a playmate. We've already linked dining and they were able to book the cabin right next to us!

BTW, do you think if we stay in the same cabin enough times, DCL will name it after us?? :lmao: Counting this PC cruise, we will have stayed in cabin 2592 four times! We love the location, it's quiet with no one across the hall and it's midship incase the ship gets a rock-n-rolling (DH sometimes gets motion sickness). Plus, it's got the extra steamer trunk.

I'd like to do the CC 5K. I had started the Couch to 5K program, but I'm really out of shape. My goal is to be able to do it though. Pretty sure Jeff would do it, he is a runner. (He did Goofy's Challenge for the WDW Marathon weekend)

DH & I are planning on it. In fact, I'm off to WDW next Thursday for the Royal Family 5K on Saturday. We did an 8K this past Saturday - and a 5K on February 7th so I could get in some practice.

Do you need any drink coupons??:rotfl:

Nope I have way more than enough of those. Well I made it. I have checked in, took beer from the lounge back to the room, traded 4 pins, and about to finish my first beer. The thing I like best is my Gold room key. Lynne, as far as I know they do have Sam Adams on the ship.

I need to add to the dog parade:
IMG_2443.JPG

On the left is Dodger. He's a rescue. We know he's a chocolate lab (duh) but not sure what else. We think some sort of small version of a greyhound based on the way he runs. The dog is crazy fast. On the right is momma beagle, Josie. She's 9 and such a great dog. Also a rescue.
This is Sam:
IMG_9504.JPG

He's my mom's beagle. Although he has papers, I'm not convinced he's a pure beagle. He's HUGE. More like a harrier.
I have to throw in this pic:
IMG_2299.JPG

That would be Jack with Jeff. Ain't he cute? (Jeff too)

Me Me I want to do it! I was sad to miss it on my last DCL trip. On our RC cruise on Freedom of the Sea- I did 3 miles on deck for Make a wish- very fun (except for the head wind at the bow!)

Great animal pics everyone!! I love animals - most all - except snakes - but then they are reptiles.....bleck.

ACDSNY - we need to hang out! We live on a cattle ranch in Central CA - our dog - a Queensland Heeler is an outside dog who only comes in when its too hot or too cold or there are workmen out there she is bothering. Our cats come and go but are usually in at night to avoid the coyotes. We currently have a 4H project pig - a hamp. She only weighs about 120# though!! We have a horse (well the ranch has 5 - we have 1) and too many cows to worry about!

tinkryansmom - I agree!
Sounds like you're south of us, how far? We'll be easy to find just look for a gray haired guy wearing wranglers and boots on the ship, it's hard to get DH to wear shorts even on vacation. My Grandfather had a cattle feed lot when I was a kid, many many years ago. I can't stand snakes and rodents and of course our son when he was young always tried to sneek them in for pets.

Good luck with your project pig. Even though our kids are grown and married we are still 4-H leaders for a swine group. I think this is the last year or we'll be stuck forever as my niece will be old enough soon.

I love seeing everyone elses' furry Family members so I wanted to share mine

This is my Rascal. We have had him for 13 years and I love coming home to him.

I love this picture of him in the water. He is not a big fan of water but the morning we went for this walk the water was so crystal clear and he just wandered right it

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday :cool1:
