Sorry to all the non-pet lovers that we've highjacked this thread.

I can totally understand that some people think they are too much work. But they got me through years of infertility and were my babies until we adopted DD (well, they still are my babies, but you know what I mean

)
Here are my pups.
The both have papers that they are full breed mini-doxy, but I swear the older one has beagle in her (the tan one). Her face looks just like a beagle, she weighs over 20lbs and loves to lay on the top back of the couch.
I also understand how many people do not want kids. We are all different and enjoy different things. But, me, I was born to be a Mom. I love children and my heart melts everytime DD calls my Momma and says "I love you" and kisses and hugs me. And seeing her laugh and play makes me the happiest I've ever been. I was 34 when we adopted DD so I had lots of time to go out partying and enjoy adult vacations. Now, it's all about her and I couldn't be happier. I really do not miss the adult only times (well, maybe Serenity Bay

) But, if you are not that type of person, then you should definitely not have kids. We have friends that don't want children and I'm amazed at how many people will ask if they have children and when they say "no" they will ask why not? That used to bug me when we were trying too. I feel like saying, "it none of your business!" Just because you are married does not mean you want or are able to have children.
On a side note, my husband just called me and said "A guy at work was just looking at the
DCL website and said that FL resident rates are out". So, there will be no surprise. I went ahead and told him "Yah, I know, we are booked for your birthday weekend. Happy Birthday!"

With his work schedule I probably wouldn't have been able to keep it a surprise anyway. He was to work Saturdays sometimes and they are always changing that schedule. Surprises can be too stressfull sometimes. Oh well, he's super excited anyway and said I just made his day.

And now he has 2 months to look forward to it.
Sorry for the long post. I'm making the most of my break from work today.
