From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 2

On Saturday Panama City Beach will have the first new airport since 9/11 complete with South West Airlines! One way to Orlando $75! Round trip to Orlando in Oct for 2 is $340!

Is that a good price for you folks in Panama City or as we say in the office (alright I don't work in a offIce I am just stealing the expression) ECP? I have no clue what you guys were being charged for flights. Also I know we are very happy to be the first customers at the new airport.

Hi JenKatt! "Gibbs" is a character on CBS show NCIS, played by the dreamy Mark Harmon! His character regularly slaps the minion characters on the back of the head when they say or do something completely dumb. In the case of my DH, he was alone when he decided to climb the ladder and hang the 50 lb artwork 10 feet up the wall. silly, silly guy had watching over him!

My DW and father are big NCIS fans. So I know the Gibbs slap. Give him a good one after a nice hug. Hope he recovers soon.

Just popping in to say Hi. Still keeping up on the thread, but not posting much. Life is busy, especially with the end of school near.

DS birthday is tomorrow, and we are heading up to San Francisco tonight to see a production of Peter Pan. Looks fantastic. It had great reviews from its run in London. We (myself DD & DS) will spend a couple of nights in the city and then meet up with DH at SFO who is arriving back from Japan on Saturday morning.

Weather looks cool (and I mean the Brrrr! kind of cool) so we will need to wrap up warm.

I is alwas cold in San Fransisco. I went to a Dodger game up their last year. It was a day game at the end of July and my jacket never came off. That is probably a good thing as I was wearing my Giants Suck shirt. I probably woukd have gotten killed up there wereing that as here at Dodger Stadium people ask if they can buy me a beer when I wear it. When I go see the Dodgers at Fenway park on June 18 I will be wearing my Yannkes Suck shirt under my Dodger jersey that will be open so the Red Sox fans don't mess with me.

DH and I were going back and forth on getting to the airport and back home from the port. We finally decided on shuttle service. It's a small milestone -- for those of you in So Cal we were going to take the flyaway to LAX and then at the port take ground transportation to LAX and then back to the flyaway.

Can't wait to see what our shore excursion choices are.

Good call using the Flyaway. If I lived in the valley I would be taking it as well, but since our apartment is only about 1-2 miles from LAX we will be parking were I park for work right next to our terminal.

You are right about the shirt though, you would have been pummeled. Giants fans HATE Dodger fans (and vice versa I'm sure)!

I hope not. A s a avid Dodger fan, and since it was my dad and his brother got me into the game of Baseball, and a avid Dodger fan I hope the Giants fall into the bay. To say I hate them is a understatement.

I am a newbie, never been on DCL. My original cruise was scheduled for 5/30/10 double dip. I was so excited I made a bunch of stuff for FE's, fabric banner, etc. When I had to drop out I sent it to a prominent member of the DIS meet. He also had to drop out. A couple of weeks ago I got a PM from someone on the cruise who received my banner and goodies. She was so thankful and graciously asked if I would make 6 more goodies so she could give them as FE gifts. I made them for free (she wanted to pay, I wouldnt let her, not even postage). Today I received my very 1st FE gift and I havent even been on a cruise yet. She was kind enough to send me one of her FE gifts and said she felt I was an honorary member of their cruise. All I asked for was a pic of her DIS group with my banner. I loved her FE. She is from Louisiana so I got beads, a bookmark and some sheriff's dept stuff. I have family members in law enforcement so every thing was extra special. I have some fond Mardi Gras bead moments too. My 1st Mardi Gras I fought for beads. Didnt go to Bourbon Street cause I'm a Disney girl not a "show me your ??? girl". So I was so tickled and thrilled to receive a FE today!!! Gosh, I cant wait for our cruise. They only had 15 people in the FE exchange. I have already made 100 FE's for our cruise so I hope they will participate. If not you'll probably get something from me anyway. Oh well, I just wanted to share my pixie dust moment with you.
