From the World of Adults to the World of Kids, Fifth Birthday Trip is Over!!

Gymboree does change their inventory over quite often. Sorry you missed the Little Bro one. We had just found out we were pregnant with a boy when we bought that. The only size they had for babies was six months. I remember thinking it would take forever before he could wear it, and now he is already too big for it. I have not found any similar shirts anywhere, and I have been looking for a long time. I will pm you if I ever do.

aw, thanks! actually gymboree comes out with big/little bro shirts pretty often. we have another set of them, if not more. I love matching my boys with gymboree clothes, they're my favorite!

You're welcome. I do not go to the clothing store as often as I'd like. We even had Gymbucks recently but failed to make it in before they expired. I did not see any little brother shirts the last couple times I was in there but need to check again. Connor needs one that fits. I love the clothes too and the playclass (which we were just at today). They have the best boxer briefs and summer clothes.

Reviewing the pictures of this day made me a little sad. Not only did DH forget we had a camera for large portions of the day, but some Photopass pictures I know we took are missing from the CD. I will try to tell the story as best I can. Without the pictures to jog my memory, I cannot remember the exact sequence of events. After we exited Dumbo, Crap got fastpasses for Peter Pan. It gave him a bonus fastpass for Mickey Philharmagic. People may not like this comment, but I was not a fan of the show. At some point in the past, I decided I did not want to watch it again.

122.jpg

We lined up for Prince Charming’s Carousel. This would be Connor’s first carousel ever. There is something about a kid’s first ride that just seems very special. Crap is better at taking pictures, so I volunteered to hold Connor on the ride. He enjoyed it at first but was ready to get off before it was over. Xander enjoyed the ride as usual.

After the ride was over, it was already within the return window for Philharmagic. That’s not a good sign when they barely make you wait for it, I thought. For the kid’s sake, I decided to watch the show. This means we used Fastpass number one for the day and five for the trip. Maybe, they would enjoy it. Connor watched a few minutes but just wanted to nurse through the rest. He fell asleep before the show was over. Xander really enjoyed the show despite the fact that he does not like shows in 3D. There is something about 3D shows that make him feel like the theater is going to fall down. Therefore, we usually avoid those shows all together or we go in, and he removes his glasses when he feels uncomfortable. Xander laughed several times throughout the show. My confession is that I really enjoyed it as well. It had been so long since I had seen it. I was not sure if the show was changed to make it better, I misjudged it before or my tastes had just changed. Overall, I am glad we got that bonus fastpass or we never would have caught this gem.

Our window to get another fastpass opened, so we walked down to Pooh. Xander adored the Pooh playground that was removed to make room for the Fantasyland expansion. We spent a lot of time there on the previous trip. The tree house that he loved playing in had been implanted into the queue. I asked a CM who was blocking it if we could get a few pictures of it. She agreed. Xander was more interested in playing rather than standing there and taking a picture. Another little boy had the same thing in mind. Once he entered the scene, we gave up on trying getting a posed picture and just let Xander play for a bit. After we got our fastpasses, it was time to ride Peter Pan.

128.jpg

129.jpg

Connor was still asleep, but we decided to enter the ride anyway. This was our sixth fastpass of the trip. When Xander was six months old, we spent almost an hour in the standby line for Peter Pan. He slept through the entire ride. I did not want to wake him and the line was too long to do it again. If Connor was still asleep by the time we got on the ride, it would have made yet another sleeping tradition. The fastpass line was less than 10 minutes long. Thanks to an overly excited kid in front of us, Connor was awake by the time we reached the front of the line. He responded really well to the ride, so I am glad he was awake.

The standby line for It’s a Small World was short, so we decided to get into it. Both boys really enjoyed the ride. Xander loves singing the song over and over again, which I am sure anyone would love. Connor started nursing again before the ride was over and was not done nursing. By the time in finished. We went into Pinocchio Village Haus. Crap got all of us some drinks while I nursed Connor. Xander asked to ride It’s a Small World again. Knowing Connor still needed to nurse, I volunteered Crap to take him. He agreed believe it or not. Once on that ride is enough for me each trip, so Crap deserved a medal for that one. I took a couple of pictures with my cell phone camera while they were on the ride.

Our fastpass return time for Winnie the Pooh was up when they returned. This was the seventh fastpass of the trip. The boys both enjoyed the ride. Then, everyone wanted to ride the teacups. I agreed to ride with Connor as long as they did not spin it too much. Spinning really fast is not something that I enjoy anyway, but I did not think it would be smart with Connor on the ride either. They agreed. Xander controlled the spinning, and kept it to a minimum. Connor laughed through most the ride. If the line was shorter, we might have done it again. We had an appointment that was approaching. After wandering around fantasyland one more time, we headed back to the hub. On the way, we stopped by and had some Photopass pictures taken. Connor was really asleep in the picture, but Xander was just relaxing.

Photo0410FourBySix.jpg

We arrived at the Harmony Barber Shop a few minutes before Xander’s appointment. When I first booked the appointment 180 days earlier, Connor had not been born yet. I booked appointments for both boys. By the time Connor was a few months old, it was obvious he would not need a haircut at Disneyworld. Two months before we left, I called and cancelled Connor’s appointment. He is ten months old now and still has no hair. Who knows when he will get his first haircut? The barbershop was booming. Originally Crap waited inside with Xander, while I waited outside with Connor. He was still asleep in his stroller. I watched the Dapper Dans and snapped this picture with my cell phone.

Connor woke up shortly after that, so I parked his stroller and found a place to sit. He started nursing, but the sun was beating down on us pretty hard. I walked back into the barber shop to see if any seats were available. There was a seat, so I sat in it and nursed Connor. Another Mom with an adorable son was sitting next to me. She said that he was 17 months old. Despite having a lot of hair and needing a haircut sooner, they wanted to have his first haircut at WDW. That was my intention with Connor, but it did not work out. About 25 minutes after his appointment time, he was called into Diane’s chair.

130.jpg

The little boy was in the chair next to Xander, so you can actually see him in the background of our pictures getting his hair cut. Xander played with his Mickey toy most of the haircut, since Diane said it would not bother her. I remember thinking he never sits that still for a haircut. Maybe, we should always give him a toy. Diane was very nice and friendly. Even though she cut his hair very fast, she did a great job. We were all pleased with the end product, and it was a very affordable haircut.

132.jpg

When she was all done, she asked Xander if he wanted the Cool Dude’s Package. He said he did. Before she applied it, she asked if he would be sitting in a stroller. If she put the green gel into his hair, it would transfer onto the stroller. It can take 5-6 hours to fully dry. We bought that stroller just for the trip, and I was not prepared to stain it. I told him he could have the hair gel if he agreed to walk for the next six hours. He said he did not want to walk at all, so she gave him pixie dust instead. This was a good compromise, because it made him very happy. It easily wiped away when it fell on something too. Xander looked and felt great, so we were off.

Love the Harmony Barbershop pics. I have my DS4 and DH booked for July. I don't think I will be able to talk either into the cool dude package (for DS, the same reason you refused- that pesky paint on the stroller) And by the time it is dried, isn't your day nearly over and it just going to get either washed off in the tub, or rubbed off with sleep. The pixie dust looks fun though. Wonder if I can convince DH to get that as well?

I doubt my DH would have put it on his hair, since he was not keen on the idea of Xander having it in his hair. Xander liked it, so I thought it was cool. The pixie dust is kept on with hairspray. If either of them get it and do not like it, they could brush it all out in less than a minute. I agree that the color takes too long to set. If it set faster, Xander would have gotten it.

I can't believe adults can get haircuts there too. DH is going to be so excited that he can get a haircut with DS.:dance3:

She did a great job on his hair. All the fast passes, nice way to by pass alot of lines. I hate to say this, but I have never rode the carasoul in my life. Your kids are enjoying everything.

Anyone can get their hair cut here even girls. Most of the people in there getting haircuts were men. I think it will be cute if they get their haircuts together. My DH was unwilling to get his hair cut there.

Thanks. I liked his hair. We got less fastpasses on the whole trip than some people get in one day, but I enjoyed the ones we got. DH used to complain about getting them. You should ride it next time you get a chance. Adults ride it even when there are no kids with them. They mostly had a great time. There were some crabby moments.

After Xander’s haircut, we headed over to Liberty Tree Tavern. It was about 15 minutes before our reservation time. We waited for about that amount of time and were taken to our seats. Our seats required us to get Connor out of his stroller. I was very careful, but it still woke him up. It was a good thing that he awakened, because I noticed he had another blowout. He was averaging at least one a day on the trip even though it was closer to three a week at home. My diet had changed a little, and I was taking in a lot more calories due to the deluxe dining plan. That may have had something to do with his change.

I climbed the staircase and took him to the bathroom. It was a very small bathroom, and there was a bit of a wait. After cleaning him up, we rushed back down to the dining room. Crap held him while I went back upstairs to wash up. There was no safe place to put him down while I washed up. Connor was anxiously waiting to nurse when I got back down the stairs, so I quickly sat down and began nursing him at the table. Almost immediately after I started nursing him, I was approached by an older woman.

She told me that she was a nutritionist, and was very happy to see me nursing. I have not posted any nursing pictures so far, because Crap had not taken any. Reviewing some of the future pictures, I will be able to post a few for you down the road. Hopefully, the idea of the woman approaching me or the impending pictures has not scared anyone. I am very modest and always use a cover. This actually bothers Connor now that he is older, and he tries to pull it down. It has made me craftier with the nursing blanket. Sorry for the tangent and now I will proceed with the story. This lady carried on that less women than ever are breastfeeding, and she was so proud of me. She stood and talked to me for a few minutes.

I did not notice a lot of nursing Moms when I was at WDW, but maybe they are just crafty with nursing. There have been many times when people have told me that they did not even notice I was nursing. My Uncle even walked up to me at a dinner event once and pulled the blanket back to see my son unaware that I was nursing him. Many others have noticed though even though I never let them see what is going on underneath the blanket. I have had quite a few people stare. Maybe, some of them are just trying to figure out what I am doing. Very few people actually come up and discuss it with me, but so far all the people who have approached me have been friendly and/or curious.

Connor was still tired. Now that he was clean and fed, he went back to sleep. Here is a picture I snapped with my cell phone. For anyone who did not read the last segment, I apologize for the lack of pictures here. Crap forgot we had a camera this day. If it was not for the pictures I snapped with my cell phone, I would not have any between the haircut and our evening event.

Liberty Tree Tavern has good food at lunch time, but I am not a fan of the dinner. The burger I had there was great. Crap had been taking care of all the checks, but he was holding Connor when it came this time. As soon as our check was returned, I noticed our remaining meals were not divisible by three (I am left brained and have OCD, so it was impossible for me to miss). There were three of us, and each of us had used a credit or two at each meal. I tabulated all of the credits we used to be sure, and determined we were short two credits. Crap said he had not noticed. He reviewed every receipt he’d been given, and every one either removed three or six credits.

There was one meal where we were never given a receipt, at Mickey’s Backyard Barbeque. We exited the restaurant, and found a seat on a bench. I did not know who I should call, so I started with Disney Dining. The CM informed me I needed to speak to the front desk of the hotel I was staying at. She gave me the phone number. Xander and I both had to use the restroom, so Crap made the call to our front desk. He went over every meal starting at the first one with the CM. Sure enough, we were charged eight credits rather than six at Mickey’s Backyard Barbeque even though Connor was five months old and never consumed anything. Crap explained that we were there alone, so they must have charged Connor two credits for the meal.

The CM informed him that even though he believed him, he had to come to the front desk in person with the receipt to correct the mistake. We did leave the dinner early, but everything was self-serve. After we were seated, we never saw a member of the wait staff again. Crap told him that we did not have a receipt. My husband saved every receipt he was given, but we were never given a receipt for that meal. Despite the fact that we had no receipt, the CM told Crap that he would still have to come discuss the issue in person at the front desk to correct it. We decided that would have to wait until the next day, since we were still going to be in the park for a while.

Crap ran over to Space Mountain for fastpasses. Connor was still sleeping. When Crap returned, I took Xander to do some more shopping in Mickey’s Star Traders. His birthday money was burning a hole in his pocket, and he loves to shop. He fell in love with a few toys and a Phineas and Ferb shirt. We exited the store and met back up with Crap who was with Connor. Xander asked us if he could put his new shirt on. This poor kid is allergic to so many things, so I usually do not allow him to wear new clothes that have not been washed. I do not like to do laundry on vacation either. If he was going to wear his WDW shirt while there, we would not get a chance to wash it first. We allowed him to put it on. Luckily, he did not get a reaction. Spoiler alert- Connor was not as lucky even though we never allowed him to wear new clothes or use new products on the trip, but we will get there later.

Since Connor was still asleep, I took Xander to ride The Tomorrowland Speedway. After about a 35 minute wait, we were on the ride. I allowed him to do all the driving. He was all over the place. It was the jerkiest car ride ever, but he enjoyed every moment of it. Here is a picture I snapped with my cell phone while we were in line. Xander loves that shirt.

I was surprised to see Connor was still asleep when we got back but was happy he was enjoying his nap. It was still too early for the Space Mountain fastpasses, so Crap took Xander to watch the Stitch show. Connor did wake up shortly after they left, but here is a picture I snapped with my camera phone while he was still asleep.

3f287124.jpg

Even though they were gone a long time, it was still too early to ride Space Mountain. That meant it was time for my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction, Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor. We live closer to Disneyland, so we make it there far more often. This attraction is exclusive to Disneyworld, so I like to see it as often as possible when we’re there. The line was long, but we made it in. It was a good show as usual, and they really found a great looking “that guy.” Connor really seemed into the show, and despite Xander’s denial, he looked into it as well. Of course, some of the jokes were over his head, but he laughed anyway. Crap said it was a good one, not that we have ever seen a bad one there. A lot of the material is unique to the audience, so it is good to watch it over and over again.

It was finally time to use the Space Mountain fastpass. When we walked over there, I noticed that the fastpass line looked long as well. I told Crap to take Xander, since he was more anxious to ride it than I was anyway. This was our 8th fastpass of the trip. Rather than waiting for him outside the ride, I decided to head to our next destination and sit near there. When I arrived, I asked a cast member if I could be seated early. She said I could. I snapped this picture with my camera phone. Then, I started nursing Connor while I waited for Crap and Xander.

Some of you may already know where I was, but I will not mention the actual location until the next update. In the meantime, here is a parting picture of the boys from Space Mountain once again snapped with my camera phone. There will be actual pictures with the big camera in the next update. I am more disappointed at the lack of pictures in this update than you know. Sorry.

Nursing is the best for a baby. I didnt do it as I went to work right away. But change in the diet affects the poor baby. We had used the dining plan in 06, I think this is when it first started. Certainly didnt understand it. Glad you caught they took credits from you. I love Space Mountain. Its ok, hard to keep up with pictures when you have little ones. Xander looks so cute in his shirt. Theres something about buying a piece of clothing from WDW you just cant resist. Looking forward to more.

We will forgive you for the lack of photos. You guys take more than I would ever think to: it gives me something to aspire to.
My worst nursing story was getting all settled at DFW awaiting boarding alone with my 6wk old. I figured I had some time so would nurse and still be able to do it again at take-off. Get him settled and they announce a gate change to about 20 gates down. The dilemma of finish and run, remove DS and have a pissed off baby or nurse along the way. Since I was afraid of missing boarding if I finished, we took off, baby attached and in one arm, pushing the stroller with carseat and carry-on bag with the other. I am sure I looked strange from the back with my shirt hiked halfway up my back.

After that, nothing was strange or too uncomfortable a place to nurse, and we made it to 8 months before my body decided it was done.

How sweet of that lady to compliment you on nursing! Glad to hear you've received mostly positive reactions. Kudos to you for doing what's best for your baby, in WDW and beyond! :thumbsup2 I've been nursing for 8.5 months now, and I have done it in public a few times, but I have a hard time navigating the nursing cover. My son is too easily distracted and wiggly, and hates being covered up, so it's a struggle. I usually just head to a dressing room or the vehicle when possible, more to keep him focused than for my modesty. ;) So I for one am interested in your photos, if just to see how you manage the nursing blanket.

That stinks about the meal credits! I hope you were able to get it worked out.

We LOVE the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor! It's one of my favorite attractions at MK for sure. I always hope DH will be "that guy," but no luck yet. ;)

I did not exclusively nurse with Xander for the same reason. After six weeks, I had to go back into the office. None of my work was covered during my leave either, so it took me almost a year to catch up. Pumping was not really for me. I was never able to pump a lot, so I nursed when I was home. He had formula when I was at work. If I noticed he had not taken any pictures, I would have. You're right though. I was often busy with the boys and did not notice. Yes, you have to wear the clothes when you buy them unless you have more days and know you'll be doing laundry.

We will forgive you for the lack of photos. You guys take more than I would ever think to: it gives me something to aspire to.

That is true. I've had to "run" while nursing him a few times. It has happened to me at my Doctor's office twice. They call me back, and I know he is not ready to be unlatched yet. I get up try to gather our stuff, push the stroller, wrangle in Xander all while getting up as carefully as I can to keep him latched. It is hard to do all of that gracefully, so people may have gotten an unpleasant view for a second or two. Oops.

I joke that I will be nursing Connor until he moves away for college, because he still nurses on demand. Xander only made it six months, but continued with formula until he was a little over 12 months old. When I read about the Moms who say their kids nurse for five to ten minutes a few times a day, I think that would be nice. He still nurses for at least 30 minutes to an hour at most feedings and eats so many times a day. I have learned to somewhat multitask while nursing or I'd never get anything done. Since I cannot do most housework (have folded clothes) while nursing, I pay bills, check emails, schedule appts, etc.

She was very sweet. It is easy to nurse him, since I am not working. I give more credit to the working Moms who pump. That is a lot harder. I never nursed Xander in public, so I know what you mean. He was a much fussier baby than Connor, so we did not go out as often. We also worked somewhat opposite schedules. I did four tens on the day shift, while Crap worked at least five eights (salaried and often worked more hours) on different shifts, but mostly swing. I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday off while he was off Monday and Tuesday. When we went out, I gave Xander formula or milk that I pumped (rarely). We did all formula on his first Disney trip at four months except when we were in the hotel room.

It was not until Connor was a few days old, and we were at his Doctor's appt that I was like oh well. He was crying, and I mustered up the courage to nurse him in public. There was no turning back after that, and I do it all the time now It takes some practice to master the nursing cover. The more you use it, the better you will get. Connor does not like being covered now. It is a challenge. I have found refuge in places where I do not have to cover up as much too. Going under the shirt rather than over helps too, so the blanket goes under your baby rather than over him. I do not have any pictures like that though.

I was happy that I found out about the meal credits before the final meal, because we used every credit.

That would be awesome if they selected either of our DH's for "that guy." Maybe, that can happen in the future.

After I started nursing Connor, other guests started to arrive at the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. I love sweets. Enjoying desserts and getting a good spot to watch fireworks without camping out sounded too good to miss. This was the hardest reservation to get, because the window did not open until a couple of months before the trip. From the 180 day mark until then, I checked the website every day. One of the few days that I did not check first thing in the morning was the day that they released the party in the afternoon. That worked out nicely, because I would have been bummed to miss it after all that effort.

I was very pleased with our seats. We were in the front row, and only the table next to us arguably had a better view. Cast members were still setting up, since the party window had not opened yet. People were starting to get desserts. Everything here is self-serve. Connor was sleep nursing, so I could not get any. A nice cast member noticed I was nursing and did offer me a drink of water, which I accepted. Crap and Xander finally showed up. They showed me the Space Mountain photo from the previous update, which I love. Xander looks a little scared, but my hubby is being a great Daddy and comforting him. Then, the torture of watching everyone else enjoy the sweets was over, and I could partake.

The chocolate covered strawberries were my favorite thing here. My least favorite was one of the shooters. Everything else I tried was good, but nothing was spectacular. I had a hard time finding any desserts for Xander. He was either allergic to or not fond of the selections. Eventually, I decided he would have to eat the chocolate chip cookies or nothing at all. For some reason, he is not overly fond of chocolate chip cookies. I showed him the dessert line, and he saw that there was not much else. Reluctantly, he ate them. Whenever we attend a buffet, Xander never eats much, so I did not even bother asking to have something special made for him. Crap did not take any pictures until The Magic, The Memories and You started.

There was a Photopass photographer there taking pictures of people in front of the castle. The last 25 pictures of disk one of my Photopass CD are corrupt and will not open. Some of those are evening shots from Magic Kingdom. I was able to forcefully pull off one picture.

Photo0449FourBySix2.jpg

After the neighboring tables were done with their pictures and desserts, the table behind me engaged us in conversation. They were young grandparents dining there alone, and they were enamored with Connor. The man was hilarious. He was a large man but played with Connor as if he was a kid. It was adorable. Connor loves peek-a-boo, and so did this grandfather. Soon, the table behind Crap joined the conversation. This was a husband and wife with a four year old daughter and a male friend. The wife told me that she thought Connor and Xander were both adorable and wanted to take them home with her. She wanted more kids. I told her I can relate, because I really want a daughter. Jokingly, she offered me hers. Xander would like that I joked back. They were all very friendly. The table directly next to us which I am assuming was a couple in their early twenties never joined our conversation but did shoot a bunch of smiles toward Connor.

Just before The Magic, The Memories and You started, people started lining the railing. I read that may happen, so I was prepared. We grabbed the boys, and found a spot just behind the people on the railing.

We all really enjoyed the show. It was the first time we had ever seen it in person. This is a cute concept, and I hope Disney always does it. Since we were far away, we could not really make out any of the pictures. I would love to say our picture was used in the show, but I do not know whether or not it was. After the show, we sat back down for a few minutes.

143.jpg

The fireworks started a few minutes after that, and we lined the railing again to watch that as well. We were actually a little closer to it this time, which made me think some people were there more for the MMY show. Tinkerbell starts at the castle and finishes near where we were. She flew right over us. It was cool.

Both of the boys enjoyed the show. Connor was tired again, so he only paid attention to some of it. The park entered extra magic hours after the fireworks were over. Crap was ready to go. The transportation to leave would be crowded at that time. I agreed to leave after one more attraction. That would give the lines to leave time to lessen and give us a chance to participate after spending the entire day at the extra magic hour park. I wanted to see Monster’s Inc again. We walked in that direction. While we were in line, Xander said he did not want to see the show again. Then, Crap agreed with him. Xander decided he wanted to ride Buzz Lightyear, so we entered the standby line. When we were in line, I asked Crap to take a picture with Xander in front of Buzz. He took one blurry picture. If he is not in the mood to take a picture I ask him to take, he takes one and does not even look at it to see how it came out. Had I known he did that, I would have taken more. That was another surprise I did not notice until reviewing the pictures.

I cannot even remember who rode with whom on this ride. Crap thinks I rode with Xander and he rode with Connor. That may be true, but I cannot remember shooting. Neither of us can recall how anyone did, so that ride was just a blur. After the ride, I kept my promise. We headed to the front of the park. It may or may not have been within an hour of park closing as once again, neither of us can recall. The Buzz line was a little long, so it may not have been. Anyway, the line for the monorail was closed. A CM mentioned that it was broken down. Despite taking in the extra attraction, the line for the boats was the longest we saw all trip. We did not board until the third boat.

I will always be sad that other than the carousel, the pictures before CP and the one with Tigger during it (since I took the Dumbo pictures), Crap did not feel it necessary to get any pictures of Connor on his first day inside the Magic Kingdom. The cell phone pictures I got are blurry, and I have emailed Disney to see if we can recover the corrupted pictures of the evening. We took two pictures at the dessert party and some pictures in front of the castle on our way out of the park. I ordered the CD three months ago, so I doubt they will be able to help. As soon as I hear back one way or the other, I will mention it in whatever update I am on at the time.

I'm finally caught up! And, now I can't for the life of me remember all of the things that I wanted to comment on! :confused3

Would you do the dessert party again? We aren't huge dessert eaters, but I think that it would be a nice way to end the evening.

I love Monsters Inc! I would have gone to the show with you! I was totally hoping that DH would be chosen as "that guy" this trip, but no luck. Have you noticed that they almost exclusively pick on men? Do you think that's because women would take it more personally? I do love that show...

We had some monorail troubles this trip, and after that I'm not at all surprised that you didn't end up being able to use it much. Still a bummer though.

I love how easy it is to chat with strangers at Disney! Such a friendly place. How nice of the woman to compliment you on the nursing. I can't really relate to any of the nursing stuff though. My milk didn't come in for almost 1 1/2 weeks, and Maddie was premature, so she was already hooked on the formula by the time it did.

I can totally relate to husbands not taking photos or only taking one because you told them to. I think that DH probably had the camera for about 1 hour total on our trip. He did take some when he had it, but it wouldn't even have occurred to him to take it out if I hadn't handed it to him.

Welcome back. I cannot wait to read about your trip.

I would do it again. We all liked watching the show, but none of us enjoying camping out forever to get seats. This was a great way to ensure good seats. DH is not a huge dessert (other than ice cream) guy, and he said he would like to do it again.

Women are more sensitive than men, so it is a good theory. I have noticed they pick on men, and I think it is funny. Thanks for saying you'd watch it with me. I could seriously watch the show over and over again.

The monorail has had lots of issues lately. Hope the issues did not affect yous plans too much.

I am sorry you did not get a choice on nursing Maddie. Xander had mostly formula his first year, which was my choice.

After this day, I will never let him fully be in charge of the camera again. What was I thinking? Glad you took control of the camera and got lots of pictures. I cannot wait to see them and hear about how much you used manual or auto (which is what I use most of the time).

Thanks! I am working on the Photopass pics in another browser window right now, and as soon as I have the CD ordered I'll get it started.

Bryan really only eats ice cream for dessert too, how funny!

I'd do Laugh Floor over and over too. It's great.

That darn monorail. It didn't ruin any of our plans, but did affect our moods once or twice...

I did some auto, and some manual stuff (none of the ISO or shutter speed stuff, don't know how to do that yet) but I did play around with some of the other settings for things like fireworks. To be honest, I haven't even looked at any of the pics that I took yet :rotfl: I've been concentrating on getting PP done. I sure hope that I got some good ones though, because my PP pics are crap! :lmao:

Getting the Photopass pictures and all of the other pictures together takes a long time. No rush. I will be there when you're ready.

The even funnier thing is ice cream is one dessert I do not eat often. My teeth are sensitive to really cold things, so I have to be in the mood for ice cream. Xander takes after me. I do love ice cold water though, go figure.

I think everyone but Xander loves the Monster's Inc show. He even liked it more than he let on though.

I am glad the monorail did not ruin any of your plans.

I hope you got good pictures too. Sounds like you already do more on manual than I do. Sorry your photopass pictures are not great. Hopefully, you got enough to make the CD purchase worth it. Some of the photogs know how to use those cameras even less than I do.

You and your family got to do a lot at the MK that day. I enjoyed the whole day at the MK. I didn't know that the MK offered hair cuts at the MK. Maybe because I am on the DL site so much that I don't know much what the WDW offers then the DLR.

I really liked how you and your family got to do the fireworks dessert party. I have thought of doing the fireworks dessert party on my trip last December, but we could just wait on MS for a few hours and get good spots. I don't mind waiting for the nighttime shows as long as I have my iPad. All of your photos from the viewing area are so nice.

You did tell me that the WDW monorails were having problems during your visit. We were fortunate that the monorails were not down during our visit. It would be nice when WDW will finally upgrade the Mark VI monorails to the Mark VIII monorails one day. It was nice to see Monorail Peach up and running after that horrific accident back in 2009.

Very nice update to your TR.

We really did get a lot done all things considered. It helped that one or both of us was always on the move unless we were eating. I wish Dl offered haircuts too, although I doubt Connor will have any hair by the time we go to Disneyland either. Unless he has a lot for me to save, I am not ready to cut it.

I loved the dessert party. We got to watch wishes three times that trip, and they were all three awesome. The third time, which I have not written about yet was pretty special too. I can occupy myself for a long time with my iPhone or DH's iPad, so I know what you mean. Scramble with Friends and Chess with Friends keep me pretty busy.

I am glad you had better luck with the monorails. Yes, I read about the accident and was very saddened. Disney made the decision not to let guests ride up front after that too (not that anyone was up front when that happened).
