From The Swan to BWV

On Monday December 8th, I will be switching resorts from The Swan to BWV-one bedroom. This is a SOLO vacation !

There is some question on whether The Swan will transport my luggage because it is non-Disney, so I already plan to walk my own luggage over the little bridge to BWV. Yeah - my luggage has wheels. LOL !

As far as getting the best choice of rooms......do you think it makes any difference getting to The Boardwalk *before* or
*after* my buffet breakfast at The Swan ???

I will already have my PHP so I will check-in, and then spend my day at Epcot.

Any suggestions on my best check-in time ?

we're doing the same in Oct. When I made ressies at the SWAN I asked if they would move our bags and he said something could be worked out. If not I take it myself its not that far.

Claudia...there's another thread on this very topic on this board right now..."What's the best check-in time...?".

I wouldn't rush over there. It actually sounds like with the new policy that late morning to mid-afternoon will yield the most choices of rooms.

I can visually see you coming over the canal bridge with your suitcases rolling behind! I'll bet they make some noise on that Boardwalk!!!!

I'm doing the exact same thing on Dec. 28, only I'll be switching from Dolphin to BWV. The first part of my trip will also be solo, so I'm also planning to roll my suitcases over to BWV unless I can "bribe" a bellman from one place or the other to help me.

seems like there's a lot of this "suitcase rolling" going on at the Boardwalk! Except mine's going FROM the Boardwalk. I've got just one night booked there in December to try it out. I've never stayed there. Planning to roll my suitcase on over to BCV December 7 about 11:30.

I transferred from OKW to the Swan about one month ago, and Bell Service at OKW was happy to do the luggage transfer. I don't know if the Swan is willing to do a transfer in the other direction, though.
