From the Med to the Panama Canal

Hey thanks, Curt. Did you or Susie get sick? Jonathan never got up off the couch for 2 days, he's finally up and about today in the yard. I've been teaching for the past two days although I sound like death. Been on antibiobiotics all week. UGH.

Susie was down for a day on Tuesday (although we both took long naps on Sunday and Monday), but was back up and around on Wednesday.

I am so sorry that so many people are feeling ill! I seemed to have avoided the muck, but Jeff is feeling off and planning on seeing the Doctor tomorrow.

Wish I could run up to Deck 9 for some ice cream.....:(

Night all, I miss all my dis friends!

Hi,
Well, we finally made it home. I want to thank so many people who were so wonderful and helpful to us. It was great meeting everyone- I am just sorry we aren't all planning another cruise together. How many people from the panama cruise are doing the Tortula trip in Sept, 2009? We are signed up. For the people who wanted me to follow-up with them, I will be doing that real soon-I appreciate the concern, and help. Vicki

We got home at midnight last night. We spent the better part of 6 days at DL after the cruise. We just did not want the magic to end. The lawn was knee high, lots of rain and bits of sun in Oregon over the last 29 days. :headache: I ran the lawn tractor over it today but will have to do it again tomorrow. I'm just hoping the rain holds off for one more day. 3 loads of laundry done today as well and Dennis downloaded all the photos we took. One more day then back to work for us. It really was a magical month!

I guess we have just been lucky as neither the boys nor I caught anything. We hope all who are not feeling well bounce back quickly. We too miss all the DIS Friends.

Hi Vicki, is this one handed typing we see? :worship: Glad you and Greg are back home. I will look forward to hearing your follow-up soon. We will not be able to do the Tortuga trip as it conflicts with the Jewish High Holidays, but we will be there with you in spirit.

Welcome back Dennis & Angie. I am still working on downloading all my photos. I hope the prospective buyer is continuing to move forward and that the sale comes quickly for you two. Look forward to hearing more.

Vicki, tell us about what happened and how you got home and where you ended up going to the doctor. I was so worried about you this week. Kelly

just wanted to say a quick hi to everyone, I am DIS'ing today as I try to recover from the crud I got in the office. With luck it should be gone by tomorrow. So bed rest and DIS'ing is the order of the day.

Wondering if we should plan a SoCal reunion meet some time soon?

Hi Steve and Kelly,
Sorry it took me so long to answer back-I haven't been on the boards much at all. Yes, Steve, this is one-handed---an automatic excuse for any mistakes I make.:bitelip: We made it home after a stop in LA overnight(fortunately already scheduled). We went to UCLA medical center-the driver said it was a lot closer. They re-xrayed my arm and said it had moved a little, but was ok to go home. They put me in a temp. cast, and told me to see ortho surgeon back home. We got home late Monday, and Tues am tried to get appt, but could only get appt for ortho PA, who put on a HOT pink short armed cast, and I see the surgeon tomorrow. I had to go back anyhow to have the cast cut off so they could check the blister and the burns from the cast saw. I am so praying for no surgery!!!!! That's all I know at this point. Thank both of you for all your help and suggestions. We really enjoyed meeting both of you so much--I wish I had been up for more fun the second half of the cruise, I kinda feel like I missed out on so much. I keep waiting for my "voyage of a lifetime".:sad1: Sorry, too much pity party!!!!!
But I have never met nicer people-it really was worth the 5000+ (or so) ;) hours at the computer prior to the cruise. I wish we could all cruise together again.
Truely meant best wishes for the future, keep in touch!, and I will let you know how things work out for my arm.....Vicki

I was thinking about you and wonder how you get on with your arm. I cannot believe that happened.

I hope it was not spoilt your holiday. I hope everything go well soon. Let me know how you get on with your arm.

It was pleasant to meet you both.

Olivia keep your gift and she put it in her bedroom. That would remember from you both.:thumbsup2

Thanks Deb, I'm glad Olivia liked her present. Greg decided immediately after meeting her that he wanted to give her the glass Mickey-he said she looked so cute when she looked at it. It was so nice meeting you all also, I'm only sorry we didn't get to spend more time together.

Hello everyone, we have been crazy busy here. My parents are getting over that cruise cold/cough thing. DD is done with the school year and trying to get her signed up for swim lessons and tumbling class as well. Weather hasn't been great here in UT, rainy and gloomy once in a while the sun comes out! We miss everyone and the ship!!! DH is starting to plan that trip around Cape Horn in Feb. 2009. He is really excited about doing that. I think he just wants all the cool stories to tell his flight crew when he returns. Don't think I am going, the rough sea weather is not my idea of fun! I guess I will have to just go on a Disney cruise while he is gone.. Have a Great Night!
