From the Med to the Panama Canal

I probably missed most people, but is anyone posting a live trip report for all us Disney cruisers NOT going on this cruise. We want to read about what is going on. Everyone - have a blast and Elderfam, that little baby boy I met in December is going to have a blast! HAVE FUN AND PIXIE DUST TO EVERYONE!!!

Just checking in, I must be one of the last still at home. I am packing like a mad man, the boys still do not know they are leaving tonight at 7pm for the airport! They think they are going to their monthly dance tonight!

I'll post on this thread as often as I can during the trip.

Our passes ran out for the parks yesterday, so today was sleep in, go to the Disney outlet and walmart. The outlet stunk, but walmart has more Disney stuff than I've ever seen. Then to the Dismeet at DTD. It was nice to meet people and hand out lanyards, but it was AFRICA HOT!!! Quite a few folks showed up - maybe 30+ people.

Before the Dismeet we went to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - it was a riot. Man what a business!!!!


Safe trip Steve, I'll see you in the morning at the port. I'll be at the mouse ears with your lanyards... you'll be the one looking beat!

Kelly - spent the weekend at Saratoga, but cannot tell you how depressed we are for us, but happy for all of you guys!! We sure do love the ship and the cruise. PLEASE let us know what you guys are doing, the food, the entertainment, Castaway and all that great stuff!!! Give Zoe a hug from Abby and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to everyone!

I AM WATCHING!!! So excited for you!!! The camera is sooo close to the ship! Hope you are having fun!

I am kind of upset because they are zoomed in so close that you cannot see the ship, only a few people on Deck 9!!! I wish they would back away like they did with the other ships this morning.

Elderfam, glad to hear that you had fun. We didn't record it, but it looked beautiful!! Talked to Brenda today and she filled me in on all the adventures aboard the ship. Sounds like you all had a great time!

I think the thread was "Panama Canal Today" or something like that. A number of people got good screen captures and then put them together for video clips.

Hello All!

We made it home safely last night. Thank you to everyone you made our trip so special! Especially our new friends.. We did have a sad moment last night as we were leaving Long Beach. We were just getting airborne, flying over San Pedro port and the Magic was pulling out of the berth. That was a sad moment for Alex and I. We had a great time with everyone. Thank you again for a great trip!

Hi Everyone, Just finished catching up in both threads. Reality is starting to hit, I have to be at work in 8 hrs. Just wanted to say what a great time we had for the last 2 weeks. Joey and Danny are already asking "When are we going back on the Ship again?" I think I will hear this for the next few months at least.

Hi Kelly,

yes Ann did find that luggage but then as we were loading she lost the first luggage. We are not sure what happened with the first luggage. All we know is that when the people brought the kids out and Linda and Judy saw the kids they went to the kids and didn't see that first luggage at all. Linda and Judy were focused on calming down the kids. But in the end all the luggage's were found and everyone was just fine.

Well the funk has it me today about not being on the ship. It's really hard to get motivated to do anything. The weather has been cloudy and rainy with some sun so that doesn't help at all.

My mom is down with I guess what everyone else has or had on the ship. So we are keeping away from her since we don't want to get it. DD seems really tired more than I remember from last year. I am praying its just tiredness and not coming down with something.

Just wanted to say Hello and that we miss you all!

I guess I have lucked out that I did not get sick or catch anything while on the ship. It was great meeting people and putting faces with the posts. I am back to work and I too have the PCBs (Post Cruise Blues). People ask me about the trip and there is so much to tell I can't keep track of it all. I know I am repeating stories. I am catching up on all the missed podcasts and it only took a day to dig out from the emails and messages at work. I am glad that I scheduled office time all this week and am not having to use a lot of mental energy yet. I booked my next cruise while on the ship and it seem so far away and a week just does not seem like it would be enough time.

Hope everyone had safe travels home and can't wait to meet up with people again!!
