From the Med to the Panama Canal

My brother was moved out of ICU at 1:00 today. But even though he wanted desperately to get out of there, he is now scared in the step down without the level of attention that he became accustomed to. They are 4-1 in the acute care unit, and totally different people. I told Amy he is very afraid and apprehensive about change. Afraid he will slip again into another infection. He is also lonely and bored.

I just don't know why hospitals don't give patients internet access. I would be chomping at the bit to have my laptop with me and talking to my friends. I bet this will change in time.

I am whipped. Non-stop day with a lot of stress today. I felt like I was running all day long and chasing my tail.

Oh, and the packing for the cruise . . . let's just say we have not done ONE thing. We will have to get on the ball this weekend or we are sunk.

I hope your family will visit him while you all are on this Cruise. Good to heard that he is improving but understand how scare to move and prayer that he dont get infection again.

The present forecast for CC(liable to change of course) is
Humid with times of clouds and sun. High 85deg, real feel 97deg.

The day before we arrive in Aruba(our day not up yet), the real feel temp is105deg. Not nice when it is high humidity.

The beginning of the week we go through the PC the real feel temps because of high humidity are 107 - 108 deg! Seems overcast with thunderstorms, but this all can change.

Goodmorning all, yes, I'm up with the East coasters today. By Saturday I need to be up at 3am my time for the minnie 5K, I was up by 3:30 this morning. After the 5K I don't have any worries about schedule for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, Zoe is not there yet. I'll wake her up at 5:45 today and 5:30 tomorrow since we leave for the plane tomorrow morning. So here I am...

We're still measuring and weighing the bags.....getting to the point where if they do challange one of our bags I'll say...let me move some of the clothes over to this bag.....and take my sweet time doing it....

I had given DS10 a packing list so he could start putting things in his suitcase. He insisted on packing everything last night. Only problem is I think I will have to do laundry every two days from now until cruise time because all of his clothes are in his suitcase.

Know where you are coming from....we've just had a real long spell of 75+ days up here, and we have all of our 'summer' clothes already packed....tough decision....do we unpack or not

luckily it's getting a bit cooler so back into the heavier clothes

We have everything packed except the camera, electronics and toothbrushes. Dennis is not working Thursday so his task for the day is to get those things orgainized and into the carryon. Oh, and print one more door magnet.

Moving clothes comment is funny. Last time we were at LAX there were several people retuning to Germany that were doing just that. They had their suitcases all opened and were switching stuff around and then reweighing them, then trying again. Dennis and I just commented, we would not want to be those people.

I soooo agree, but I suspect that some of the ticket agents are a little fee happy, if you know what I mean....especially when it comes to measuring a bag....gee you are 1/2 an inch over size......that will be an extra $100....

I'm packing a tape measure and a 50 lb scale with me (as well as an extra bag) just to be sure

Sniff Sniff - I am crying!!!!!!!!! The good news is that I get to see everyone!!!!
