We have everything packed except the camera, electronics and toothbrushes. Dennis is not working Thursday so his task for the day is to get those things orgainized and into the carryon. Oh, and print one more door magnet.

Moving clothes comment is funny. Last time we were at LAX there were several people retuning to Germany that were doing just that. They had their suitcases all opened and were switching stuff around and then reweighing them, then trying again. Dennis and I just commented, we would not want to be those people.

If you would have been at LAX about 16 months ago, that would have been me! I was carrying 6 bags of everything I couldn't possibly live without and was way over the limit.

I think the fees they charge is always up to the discretion of the attendant and what kind of mood they are in. I had 4 of my 6 bags overweight, tried to spread the weight out more evenly but it didn't work. I guess they felt bad for me because I was traveling alone with 2 little girls so they said they would let 2 of the bags through fine and only charged me $25 each for the other 2 bags. It could have been a lot worse because they were severely overweight.

Doesn't sound like I will get that kind of luck anymore with the new policies in place. . .

I only seperate darks from whites if it has not been washed before. Other than that that anything goes. Nothing wrecked yet.

Thanks. I always separate here but when on vacation usually throw everything in together. Solmetimes the whites are not very bright though. . Another problem we have is that our clothes are not as tumble dryer friendly as yours. Just about everything says 'do not tumble dry'!! When I do the laundry over there I can keep fishing items out of the dryer, but i guess if I send them out they will be left till the end.

I might just send simple things like shirts, pj's etc and try and do the rest myself.

Alot of our stuff says line dry only. If it is not expensive I try it. It seems to be O.K. but we are a jean and T-Shirt family.

We originally booked on the TA, with plans to go to Euro Disney before returning home. I was looking at all of that transportation stuff and it just became overwhelming to me which took the fun out of even planning, so couple that with the cost of airfare and we just decided to cancel. Then this trip came up and Western Hemisphere, we can do that!!

My brother was moved out of ICU at 1:00 today. But even though he wanted desperately to get out of there, he is now scared in the step down without the level of attention that he became accustomed to. They are 4-1 in the acute care unit, and totally different people. I told Amy he is very afraid and apprehensive about change. Afraid he will slip again into another infection. He is also lonely and bored.

I just don't know why hospitals don't give patients internet access. I would be chomping at the bit to have my laptop with me and talking to my friends. I bet this will change in time.

I am whipped. Non-stop day with a lot of stress today. I felt like I was running all day long and chasing my tail.

Oh, and the packing for the cruise . . . let's just say we have not done ONE thing. We will have to get on the ball this weekend or we are sunk.

Looking forward to meeting you soon too! I'm envious! I have the day off tomorrow (so much shopping and packing to do) then I work 7 days straight before flying in on the 8th.

I have not even figured out where my suitcase is.... Believe it or not once I did a 12 night cruise with 2 carry on bags. Granted it is not Disney. If worse comes to worse you could throw dirty clothes in the suitcase and do laundry first thing on the ship. (Sorry that was totally the guy approach to packing and has most likely freaked out some of you. ha ha)

Last cruise I went on I told my coworkers I was packing three things.
Sun screen, a speedo and a smile..... That gave them a visual they did not shake easy. I was actually doing a workshop the day before I left and showed my "Packing" to the people in my class. They had a good laugh and thought I just might actually be serious about it. ha ha

I am having to do 15 hour days and work the weekend to be ready to go and I am so not able to focus.... I think I am already on mental vacation!!
