From the Med to the Panama Canal

I have to play with mine a bit today. A couple of my embelishments were designed for scrapbooking and they aren't sticking very well, so I'll have to drag out my own adhesive and secure those puppies!

Today is try on the formal wear day. Fingers crossed, if there's an issue with fit I'm going to have to downgrad in the glamor department! :lmao:

.

Good luck with the formal wear fitting today. I gave up on the glamour a long time ago!!!

Jackie-I'm having the same prob with my FE. I have to drag out the adhesive and get that stuff stuck on there. Last night I found the embellishments on the floor of my closest as they had fallen off! :scared1: So from there I moved to trying on my formal/dressy clothes and I'm happy to report they all fit (boot camp has done something :yay: ).

Same with our FE, it was scrapbooking embelishments so I used adhesive and it worked great.

I tried on the formal stuff yesterday. One I was not thrilled with, but I showed it to DrHug and he said he likes it (and that is all that matters!) and it is "slimming". (which is a plus!! ):goodvibes So, I guess I am good to go and will just put it all in suitcases today. We leave FRIDAY!! :yay: :woohoo:

We did our FE yesterday...so far so good....they are all still stuck on, but I'll have some adhesive on the cruise just in case. My goal for today is the get my stuff packed and see what actually still fits and what I need to buy

I'm done packing

Unfortunately, I have an extra bag stuffed with lanyards and gifts, but it will be empty after arriving. As I finished I realized I forgot my make up! :confused3 My carry on is so packed.

I ended up deciding not to bring a fancy dress, but nice fancy tops with dress pants, fun flat shoes and good jewelry. It helped reduce a bit. We still ended up with 4 bags for 3 people, but half of one of them will be empty after WDW. And we are packed to the brim. I can't believe how much I put back too. :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

You did good! We will have 6 bags for the 4 of us but I am doing no washing during the 3 weeks.

Rats! Just lost my post where I blather on and on about the new formal night outfit I had to buy. Well....you'll see it soon enough! :lmao:

Hi,
I don't know if you are really into scrapbooking, but when I was at the store the other day, I saw a small package that made me think of you-it has IASW stickers in it. Do you have any scrapbooking items on IASW? It is really not much, but it is cute. If you don't have anything like it, I would be glad to get one for you. Vicki

Yea!!!

Do you remember how much luggage we had for the TA? 15 bags, I think, getting on the ship for the 4 of us and 12 coming back:scared1: ! And didn't Littleowensmommy had 25 - ok, yea, they were doing a 25 day cruise, "homeless" for the month before and moving across country all at the same time. Good thing I'm not flying anytime soon. These baggage limits are not good for me:rolleyes: .

Whilst it is lovely having two threads, I hope it doesn't turn into a them and us thing!:sad2:

Oh heavens no. I am just totally and completely lost over there. They are wonderful people, I just have no idea what they are talking about. My fault for not keeping up!

She had 25 bags at 70 LBS each!

I was going to ship the rest of the lanyards, but they were so heavy it would have cost more to ship and since we have that once day grace period before the baggage rules change I'm taking just taking another bag. .... Jonathan's suit jacket as well. Unfortunately, I just realized that I didn't pack the 30 DVD's I wanted to give to cast members of TV shows from last season. I'm so full I don't know where to put them. It would help if I wasn't carrying a potty seat!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK you guys, since I am a bit out of the loop . . . I thought I better post over here too. I caught a little bit of this, but I can't keep up with the old thread either. I will probably just post to both threads.

I truly hope everyone is OK all the way around, and I truly miss ALL of you. Here is what I just posted over on the "numbered" thread.

Just a drive by post again to subscribe. I haven't bailed so much - I just can't keep up! Too much time at the hospital - although it is getting much easier. Either tomorrow or the next day, my brother will probably be moved out of ICU to a "step down" type of unit. He is communicating well now - got him a white board so that he can write since I am such a terrible lip reader (I sure wish I had you here Deborah!). His sense of humor is intact - we finally got a bad nurse (sorry Angie, but she is retired military) and I have been calling her the General. He was supposed to get her again tonight, and he got the nurse before to change the duty roster! I brought a plate of chocolates for everyone and he told the nurse everyone can have some except the General.

For all of our Jewish friends who just recently celebrated their Passover, we just had ours, our Pascha (Greek for Passover) was today (Easter to everyone else). What a joyous Holy Week it was for my family as we feel that my brother was indeed given back to us from the dead. I got to go to midnight services last night (Deb, I lit a candle for your mother).

For all of our Greek and other Orthodox Christian Friends,

Oh that's easy - You and Zoe can each have 2 bags. Fill a bag with the DVD's and bubble wrap for cushioning. Then that bag and the bubble wrap can be used for whatever yummy cooking stuff and other souveiners (sp?) you find on the trip. Remember you don't have to fly home:banana: . Ok, so I'm not helping with the whole pack light thing :rolleyes1 . Truth be told, the bubble wrap really did come in handy ...

Look at it this way, you are packed and you don't leave for three more days. No way are you going to accidently pack the label maker or a hole punch in the frenzied 3am last minute "pack" :rotfl2: - You're Good!

Hey John....

Alithos anesti!!! (Indeed he is risen!)

I'm happy to hear things are improving with your brother. I hope you're taking time to relax at some point so that the stress doesn't eat you alive!

Have a great night!

John, It must be wonderful to have Manuel communicating once again. He must be happy not have to get you to figure out what he is saying, lol. My thoughts and hopes stay with you and yours.

I was wondering where everyone went. The other thread has really calmed down and I thought everyone stopped posting.:rotfl2: subscribing to this one too.

I just posted this on the other thread and thought I should post here too in case some don't check that one -

I think I'm going to be out of the talks (as if I was ever in them!) until we board. This week is insane - have to fly to LA for a conference on Wed-Friday. DS b-day Friday. First Communion Sat. Need to finish budget for next FY by next Tuesday. And then flying out to MCO!

We can't wait! Liserann has my email if anything urgent needs to come my way (fish extender or else). Can't wait to meet you all!
Lisa

Lisa, have a productive week, make lists and check them twice, then board the plane and we will see you at the terminal. I have a feeling you will be easy to find, one sweet lady and five "boys", :)

Thank you for starting a slower thread! I'm hoping to keep up with this one!

Quick question (newbie here): If we want to have pillowcases signed do we need to bring them in gallon size bags or do they provide them? I think I also read that there's a sheet to fill out too?! Thanks for your help! We're trying to get everything together so we can actually pack it!!!

We brought our pillow cases to be signed in our own zip lock bags. We just filed out the form at GS and magically appeared in our room later that same day! It is always a good idea to bring extra ziploc bags. :thumbsup2

We have just about finished packing

We will have 5 checked and 5 carry on for the three of us (plus one fold-up for the trip back.

I bought one of those fish scales (only go up to 50 lbs) and weighed all the bags.....one is over 50 (thank goodness Westjet has a 60 lb limit) so we can adjust the bags on the trip back.

Time is really blowing by...10 days left before we get on the plane for Toronto then Orlando....it seemed forever when we were all at 400 + days, now we are always saying....last piano lesson, last garbage pickup...

Looking forward to meeting you all on board and RELAXING....

PS should get our docs on Wed....you should all be able to tell by our collective scream....:yay:
